Hi, first time on the forum and first time leasing, and I wanted to share and get your feedback on what I got at the dealership today (before I stumbled upon this forum, so I look forward to going back and asking about security deposits, for example:)
My apologies in advance if the format is off status quo.
2018 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE
$225/mo (inc. tax)
$2k down (inc of 1st mo & drive off)
MSRP: $31,373
Balance after rebates and taxes: $27,814
36 months
12k miles
Residual value: $18,501
Is it possible to identify other variables from this info? e.g., the lease rate?
My wife and I have narrowed down our choices to the RAV4, a Mazda CX-5 Touring or a Subaru Forester Premium. But we haven’t really worked out the deals with Mazda and Subaru yet, so if anyone would like to comment on the possibility of getting a better deal for either of those options, that would be helpful too!
Thanks!
I took some aggressive quotes in Feb. supposedly on President’s last day of sale. and I got $279 with true 0 from a couple of dealers
With yours 2K down rolled into, it looks like you will be right around that corner. Seems legit but not sure the merit of the deal - I did not proceed at that number
Thanks for your reply!
Do you mind if I ask why you didn’t proceed? Did you go with something else?
because I want to stay close to under $200 so I am not hung up one specific brand. Although, I did offer upto $230 but they still did not budge.
so what did you get for under $200? I think it is hard, especially if you need some advanced options.
You’re a true value hunter! For the RAV4, did you use security deposits in that deal?
If you are getting that payment than you are getting a crazy deal. But the numbers you posted don’t add up to that based on my calculation (May be different in CA)
Sale price would have to be $26,446.02 (W/ $1500 rebate) to get to $225 payment. If your at $27,814 after rebates I come up with $267.38 payment with tax.
Again these calculations may different because of rebates and tax in your area. But if thats the true payment I’d say its a steal. ($2,087.72 under dealer invoice)
