2018 Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited with EyeSight

Can someone please share the best deals on lease in CT. I am looking for 2018 Outback Limited 2.5i with Eyesight - 3yrs, 36 k with zero down. Few nearby delaers quoting close to $400 per month. I wish to be under $350 per month.

Can you be more specific in terms of how the dealerships you contacted got to almost $400 a month? What was the discount they provided? What was the MSRP of the Outback you were working on? What was the Money Factor they were using. You need to give us more info to help you.

Yes, I should have gave the information earlier… Most of the dealers just gave the monthly price and nothing detailed one like residual and money factor. Only one dealer could give the below.

2018 Outback Limited 2.5i with Eyesight
MSRP- $34,033.00

          $ 31,042.00- Internet Sale

         $567.00- Documentation Fee

         $198.00- Registration Fee

         $2,007.17- State Tax - CT

Your Total Sale Price=== $$$ 33,814.17===

36 MONTHS/ 12K MILES/ $0 DOWN- $393.88/MONTHLY PYMT

I am paying $360 a month w/ $360 DAS for 36 months/12k miles

My payment above includes sales tax rolled in as MD charges full tax even on a lease. I don’t think CT charges full sales tax, but the dealer has it included

Thats what I am looking at. Let me re-try to negotiate… But always they wanted down payment to have lower monthly payment. If possible, can you share the lease deal on yours?

Your discount should be much stronger…it’s 8.8%…I ended up at 16.4% on a cheaper Outback couple months back. Obviously, regional issues may be at play, but I think that’s the first thing to get sorted out. My deal is below:

Thats the great deal you got. Here in New England, none of them are close to your price for a Premium model. They are not giving any split up’s rather working with only per month lease payments.

You can do some homework on your own. Do you know what the residual and Money Factor are? If not, create an account and request that information here:

Once you’ve got this info, you can start to figure out what the monthly price should be based on the discount they’re giving you. You need to email multiple dealerships…if they won’t provide numbers, don’t tell them you’re leasing to begin with…just work the sale price.

This is what so far one dealer have shared…

Selling price $32,391
Money Factor .00035
Residual Percent 58
Residual Amount $19,946.78

I have received the below from Edmunds as you have suggested. Based on the below, how much could you the monthly payment. Appreciate your suggestions!!!

Ltd - .00035 and 58%
Prem - .00015 and 55%
$400 incentive on both

You didn’t list a MSRP in your prior post, so I used the 8.8% off MSRP from your earlier post. The Subaru build and price site shows a 2018 2.5i Limited with Eyesight has an MSRP of $35,695, not sure where you got an MSRP of $34,033.

Anyway, here is a start - fix the tax rate if it is incorrect and update the MSRP and sale price according to what you have.

This is what Costco shows, for whatever it’s worth

This is what I am settled for now. Asked to include oil change to my lease term

Decent discount, relatively low RV - not much you can do.

EyeSight is standard on all 2019 Outbacks…did you see what a 2019 would look like? The base Outbacks typically have the highest Residuals.

That discount is much better than before. That doc fee is horrible…is that standard in CT?

True, CT has ridiculous Dealer fees and very few has $399 but the selling price were too high…I did check 2019 but no discounts as they are pretty new. I need to have limited with eyesight coz we got used to leather, entertainment of what my current jeep grand cherokee has. We need to save gas mileage so went for subaru which is highly sold in new england area. For this price, I could even got Infinity QX60 but don’t want the luxury car anymore and it is hard to maintain. I already drive 06 BMW 325i so… selling Jeep GC and leasing Outback. Tomorrow, I should know if my credit goes through to have same MF .00035. If not, I am pulling off.
By the by, I honestly thank you and all for the quick responses and this forum was very helpful. This is my first lease. I have always bought new/used cars.

I did try Costco pricing through a dealer in Massachusetts which is about 35 miles from my place. The numbers came up with $400 per month. On negotiating, they gave $392. I opted out and settled with $385 per month to a dealer who is in my neighborhood :slight_smile:

Glad the forum was helpful and that you’re hopefully in a vehicle you love at a price you’re happy with.

Just as an aside on the QX60 - it’s underpinnings are the same as a Nissan Pathfinder but leases much better. We are on our third Infiniti and maintenance cost has never been an issue, no more or less than a Nissan or Toyota.
