Anyone have a certain way to get that email from penfed? They are also mentioning true car to me… thanks!
TrueCar manages the database for the control number so you have to go through the PenFed website in order to get the control number
If you contact truecar, they can just provide you the information regarding incentives for a specific manufacturer. You need to click on “view offer” and log into the website from this link: https://penfed.truecar.com/main.html to generate a control number
The biggest caveat is it takes two month’s to generate a control number from the account opening. I opened an account on May 6th and i wasn’t able to generate a control number until July 6th. Prior to July 6th, when i tried to login to view my incentives/control number, the website used to return back to log-in screen.
Contacted Trucar, Penfed and they told me it take me an year to be a member to generate the control number but it’s not true.

I’ve searched through this forum and cannot get a concrete answer:
- Can you use Fleet discount on a loaner? Some answered yes, some answered no, some answered it depends, some answered the dealer may include it in the dealer cash… i’m so confused!?!
- Can fleet be combined with current dealer incentives? (i.e. in this thread it mentions you cannot combine “dealer cash”, is that the same as dealer incentive?)
- If i were to email a dealer with a proposal on a lease, would I state upfront that i have Fleet Discount AND put in the current incentive? Or leave those out until there is a selling price negotiated first?
