2018 Mazda 6 Grand Touring Offer

Thoughts? Having a hell of a time finding decent numbers on a sign and drive (0 DAS) mid sized sedan. But so far this is beating everything else. Any thoughts? I know it’s not 1% but audi, honda, toyota, etc are all coming in between $499 and $699.

MSRP: $30,124
Selling price: $27,200
$350 per month tax in, nothing due at signing -first month waived

MF .00001
Residual 55%

Based on the quotes that I’ve been getting for the Touring model at 36/12k up here in the northeast I don’t think this is terrible but I believe there could be more to be had. My most recent quote on a $26,595 Touring was $329/mo with first month and some fees at signing and my $2060 rollover rolled in. Sale price of $23,135 (edit: turns out this was the sale price before adding in my rollover and with $250 lease cash included).

Obligatory: have you looked at a Q50? They seem to lease within your monthly target. What region are you in?

High…have you looked at Passat numbers? Might be your best bet.

Are the 2018 Mazda 6 touring AWD ??

Considering a 24/10

No, the 2018 Mazda6 is FWD across the lineup.

How about 2019 ??

Details on the 2019 model are scarce right now.

I’m not trying to be an ass, but it would have been just as easy for you to have googled both of those questions as it was to ask them here.

What’s the region and sales tax rate? Around me I’d ask for $2k more in dealer discount.

Tried that…anything I found was too old. Example, last Spring there were amazing deals on the Alfa Romeo sedan and then the Q50 but not right now. Things change so I was looking for some current info

I can’t tell if you’re talking about the googling comment, but I just want to make sure you know that wasn’t towards you. That was directed to the person asking about AWD.

I’m in a similar spot in every way. Just about everything that I am/was considering is leasing for a lot higher than I would have expected.

ah understand…thought it was toward me. But yeah, it’s kind of crazy numbers out there. Almost everything from Toyota Camry’s to Audi’s to Alfa’s…coming in over $500 a mo. Not sure where these people are getting their $299 - $350 deals on decent cars with bells and whistles. I did find one unicorn and just leased a QX50 Essential ($49k) and got $415 sign and drive. THAT was a pretty good deal but I’ve looked at almost everything else and running into brick walls.

I agree. The challenge for me is that I don’t care for a lot of options other than remote start, heated seats, bluetooth and MAYBE CarPlay. Something like a base Giulia AWD would fit the bill, but even that’s in the low-to-mid $400 range. It doesn’t help, too, that I’m trying to roll some of my lease over.

Full disclosure—I’ve tried sending my own proposal to several dealers based off of what I’ve seen on here. I’ve made a lot of mistakes and learned a lot. I’ve been expanding my search up to 300 miles away and still nothing.

I’ve been able to get a dealer in SoCal to do $310 (335 with tax) with $1000 at signing (that includes first month and most fees, he rounded it down for calculation purposes since MF is low). This is at .00001 MF and 54% residual - he insists that’s the number the computer keeps giving for 36/10. Its higher than 1% but it doesn’t seem that any dealer is going to do better than that, though I sent out a few queries. I will note that price is without loyalty ($750) so can knock down another $10/mo if you have that.

Trust me.
You can do better. Check the dealership inventory. You should find some good places to negotiate.

What are you thinking? So far no other dealers are biting. How would you use inventory to negotiate beyond this? Also, how much more do you think there is? I’m sure if I actually difficult I could get another $10/mo or something but I can’t see a way to push it down to say $300/mo after tax.
