2018 Mazda 3 Touring - Pull the trigger?

Hello everyone!

My first post officially on the site. I have a few days before my current lease is up, so I’m limited on time. I was offered these leasing terms last week. I’m on the fence, please let me know what you think!

MSRP:$22035
Months: 36
Annual mileage: 15K
Due at signing: $900
No incentives & I don’t have the numbers in front of me atm…so I don’t exactly remember what number the selling price was dropped to. I apologize for this.

MF: .0001
Residual: 52%
Tax rate: 9.5% (SoCal)
Monthly payment: 280 (including tax.) + it includes 3 years of maintenance

Thanks!

That’s roughly $280/month for a $22k car backing out tax and adding the $900 DAS.

Not a good deal at all. I don’t know how 3’s lease, but if you’re looking for the best use of your $/month, keep shopping. You can be in a nicer car for the same payment or in the 3 for less.

People are posting payments of $300 for 32k MSRP Mazada CX-5 GT [albeit for 12k miles], so it is possible to get Maza close to 1% rule. Thus your deal is prob a little too high. Push for discounts and incentives (and do you qualify for loyalty?)

If you want a 3, it makes a lot more sense to simply purchase a CPO considering the lack of major changes in this generation. They just don’t lease well

1k down, 250/mo. write it up. 1k down, 270 tops. Anything in between is ok. The maintenance is nice because it means this is literally your entire car payment bc you have warranty. If you can get it at 280 with full warranty and maintenance for 45k miles that would be nice. Nothing wrong with leasing a 3. One thing to consider, though, is that financing is incentivized at 0% for these cars. Check out the new jetta too. You might like it.
