2018 Malibu LT Lease

I’m currently leasing a 2016 Malibu LT (MSRP $28,385) - 3 years/15,000 miles for $243/mo. The lease is up in March, but I’m currently over my miles. I just received an email from Chevy offering to waive my last 4 payments, as well as a private $1,000 incentive towards a new Malibu.

I am looking at a 2018 Malibu and I believe I can combine the following:

  • $2,500 2018 Malibu GM consumers cash
  • $2,000 Lease Loyalty
  • $1,000 Cash allowance Private Offer
  • $500 Costco rebate on 2018 models (+$700 Costco giftcard)

With all of these incentives, I believe I can get an even better deal than I had before.
Does anyone know what the residual is and money factor for a 3 year/15,000 mile lease in Michigan? Also, will I be able to stack all of these incentives?

Go over to Edmunds forums to get the MF and RV also to add lease support may be dead on 18 models.

  • $2,500 2018 Malibu GM consumers cash - Nope, purchase only
  • $2,000 Lease Loyalty - Nope, $1,000 GM Lease Loyalty for lease
  • $1,000 Cash allowance Private Offer - **Only 1 private offer allowed per deal,I believe Loyalty is considered a private offer but would be worth checking for sure **
  • $500 Costco rebate on 2018 models (+$700 Costco giftcard) - 2018 only gets $500 rebate, not both

Michigan zip shows $1,500 and $750 select market lease cash, plus $350 national lease cash.

I believe your incentives would stack as follows:
$1,000 private offer
$500 costco
$1,500 select market
$750 select market
$350 GM lease cash
$1,000 lease loyalty may or may not stack
Whatever dealer discount you can negotiate
Waiving your last 4 payments

3 yr 15k = .52 RV and .00101 MF
2yr 15k = .60 RV and .00090 MF

Might want to get quote on 24 month lease with the better numbers

Thank you for all of that info. How do the lease incentives, MF, and residual compare on the 2019 Malibu LT in Michigan?

Lease loyalty and private offer is the same. Its another gm marketing gimmick for current owners to think that they are getting something special.
If you really like the malibu get the 2018. Dealers will be a bit flexible on giving more discount. I dont know about you but i think it is a big mistake to replace a good tranny with a cvt on the 2019.

Are you positive that the private offer is the same as lease loyalty, meaning you can only use one or the other? I’ve spoken to several dealers and I’m still not completely sure. Also, does anyone know if GM got rid of the dealer flex cash this month? I have a dealer that advertised it in their listing, but say it’s not valid this month.

Private offer cannot be stacked with loyalty. It’s one or the other, so choose wisely.

Flex cash has been eliminated this month. They have something called “dividend cash” which are credits from GMF they can use at their discretion to finish off a deal. It’s not advertised though, and you can think of it as a “hidden rebate” I suppose. You have to find a dealer willing to use them as well.
