2018 malibu hybrid

wanted your guidance on the deal below- I am planning to take advantage 4 mth GM lease pullover

36 months/10K
MSRP + options = $32740 + $875 destination = $33,615
Invoice=$32,716
APR - 2.06%
Residual - 54%
Discounts: $3100 (350 cash + $2750 other)

Lease = $375 drive-off with first month payment.

is this a good or bad deal?
any suggestions on what I should negotiate for?

with 1% rule - I would have assumed not more than $320.

I thought GM was only offering 3 month pull ahead. If that is true, then they are rolling a payment into your new lease. That being said, I don’t think this is a good deal considering you can get an Infiniti Q50 for much less (yes I realize it isn’t a hybrid).

$375 for a Malibu :exploding_head:

Wouldn’t you rather have something like a GMC Terrain for half of that ?

Thanks. Is Q50 luxe good vehicle? the mileage is only 19 local and 27 highway.

I saw the post, it says $215 with VPP and $2700 in msds. is this zero drive-off or excludes taxes, registration, doc? what will that be, if it excludes?

thanks! it is a hybrid… but i agree, the dealer was not being honest.
even with 1% rule the quote should have been $330. Is negotiating for $300 a good deal or do you think there are better leases…can you kindly recommend another vehicle withbetter lease term. BoardWalkNJ suggested Q50 infinity…I am definitely going to visit the dealer.

I have 3 mths remaining on lease, nobody is ready to take over GM lease…so kind of stuck with GM. In addition, they have eva;uated $1400 in excess. GM dealers will waive it but not others.

any ideas? much appreciated.

What are you currently leasing and for how much?
They are only giving you a $350 discount? Edit, that is the lease cash all get.
What is $2,750 other discount?
The RV you quoted is for 15k. 10k is .57 and 12k is .56
At least apr 2.06$ (.00086 MF) is correct - not marking it up
What is your zip?

I think if you’re on the magic, mysterious manifest list, you get 4 months.

In the last 20 years, I’ve probably had 10 GM cars. Have never made the list lol.

thanks, it is my first lease renewal… Honestly, I received a 5 mth pull ahead from them. I waited for 2 mths and now they sent me 4 month pull ahead.

It seems they are offering this as it as it is my first lease renewal.

regards,

thanks! the other $2750 is stackable cash- auto show, incremental ccr, targeted in market lease cash. 08807 is my zip.

Who is offering the pull ahead? Is this something from GM corporate, or the dealership? If the dealership, it’s not a true pull-ahead, and is just a marketing ploy to get you into a new car.

Maybe they only put people who overpay on the pull-ahead list!!!:stuck_out_tongue:

Don’t forget, you’re attempting to lease a sedan at a time when sedans are lot poison. I wouldn’t be bashful about going back and negotiating aggressively to get a good deal for yourself.

Are you sure you want the malibu? There are a lot of better options for the price. Also I don’t think the car does the name justice. Do you see the similarity? I certainly don’t

that’s the old one, the new one is gorgeous. I choose the bay area pic because i’m a bit biased lol. ChevyPhil in Norcal.

Does look better, I’ll give them that, just Malibu is probably one of the least likely places you will see a Malibu

You have to brush up on your GMs. Your pic was 3 generations ago :joy:
