2018 m4 convertible purchase

Seems there are quite a few 2018 m4 convertibles on lots still. Obviously not hackable as far as lease but looking for opinion on price target for purchase. Can find low mileage certified around 62 or so so thinking at least that range for around 87-90k sticker car. Problem im seeing is that obviously these dealers dont care to move these, which makes a ton of sense hahaha. Thoughts???

Since your intention is to purchase, I would email every dealer in the country with a m4 convertible asking for a ~25% discount. I know several people who successfully did that for Dodge Hellcats or Jeep Trackhawks. Obviously, this is a comparison of an apple to an orange. Fish and see who bites. The worst they can say is no.

How far of a discount would you ask on older cars?

Yeah I have hit up one whos semi local and they are firm at 12% lol Just kind of spitballing the idea on this. Finance rates are good this month and include 18’s so great deal could be attractive to hold a year or two and flip

In my experience, the discount depends on the brand, model. color and dealer. American brands with the exception of FCA tend to hold onto their halo cars for a long period of time.

At leasehackr, rule of thumb is always ask for a 20% discount. If the car is approaching 2 years on the lot and has a unpopular color; I’d shoot for 35%.

I just did a quick nationwide search for 2018 convertible M4s on cargurus. There are far less M4 convertibles for sale than I thought. I would shoot for 20% or buy used.

I’d check West and East coast…with an authorized M dealer…they have to have a M car loaner…If the car really has to go that’s where you’ll find those savings

25? Hell, shoot for 30% as @BMW_Dave has already indicated these are distressed inventory if not toxic.

What would really make the deal on these is if BMW kicked in some flagship money toward them like they did with the M4CS. As you know though there is risk in purchase aside from the monthly payment on a reasonable term far exceeding what a good lease would go for.

If I felt like having a $1,000+/mo payment on a 60mo I’d have jumped at one of these when I was looking at 4’s.

Woah, I did not know that BMW gave a flagship incentive for the M4CS. I remember the flagship incentive showing up every now and then for the 7 series. I’m trying to lease a 19 M4 convertible or M4CS before my OL code expires. Wish me luck lol

Please. Take my M4 Convertible! Lol.

Unfortunately there’s no flagship (nor lease programs) so it wouldn’t be the 30% that @Electric mentioned. Haha.
