2018 Kia Niro lease in NorCal

One of my cars unexpectedly fell out of commission on Friday so I urgently need to lease a car today. We’ve had our eye on the Kia Niro for a while and had hoped for the new plug-in but it seems a bit expensive for the trim level we’d want (EX Premium for the leather seats). The best deal I’ve found on a non-plug in Niro EX is:

MSRP: $27125
Sales Price: 24,600
Lease cash: $2,960
MF: .00208
Residual: 58%
36 months/12k
$1,000 down

Monthly payment: $275.16 base plus CA tax $25.45 = $300.61 (The LH calculator has this coming in lower at $260/month.)

(Sadly, the premium package for the leather seats is another $5,300 so not sure that makes sense.)

Is this a good deal?

Thank you.

What was the bad deal you were getting for the plug-in EX?
Where you quoted a good deal for the non EX plug-in?
Did you try emailing other dealers to see if they could beat the price?

The factory lease offer in California for plug-in is $260 per month with $2k down for 3 years. 2 year lease available also.

I should clarify - the plug-in is just too expensive for us (MSRP ~ $34.5k for the EX premium trim). Our budget is at or below $300/month with $1,000 down.

The deal above is only for the LX trim. Fully leather seats are our one “must-have”.
