New at leasing … looking to lease a 18 Jeep unlimited ny area . Would like to buy at lease end. Is there a better month to lease in ?
Jeep unlimited? Never heard of it.
Wrangler lease programs stay pretty consistent. Stay to a Wrangler JL Unlimited Sport for the best lease program.
As in previous years, the Wrangler JK is offered in two- and four-door body styles.
Four-door models are christened Unlimited
and bear a starting price that’s $3900 greater than that of their two-door counterpart. Opting for the Unlimited adds more than 20 inches to the Wrangler JK’s wheelbase, 1.6 inches of rear legroom, and 19 cubic feet of cargo volume.
Yeah seen in end of June a lot of advertising a 279, 2900 down 36 month but not much this month. Anyway gonna learn a lot from this site, great site …
Wranglers are weird when it comes to leasing.
If you want to buy out a Wrangler at lease end (or are even heavily considering it), you’re really better off just buying it outright. The “standard MF” for leasing right now seems to be up over 5% interest rate.
But if you want to lease, the 48 month residual on unlimited sport and sport s is hovering around 70% (see edmunds jeep wrangler forums). That’s going to make for a pretty good lease as long as you get a decent discount. You wouldn’t want to buy that out though, it would cost almost as much as a brand new one. Plus, 12 months of lease not under warranty…
If you haven’t already, go to treadlightly.com and sign up for the $100 membership. After 30 days that will get you access to affiliate pricing (basically friends and family rate) which “guarantees at least 1% under invoice.” Once you explain to the dealer what that is and get them to actually look it up (none of them seem to know about it), you can usually get a few more percentage points off, even on wranglers.
Not sure what level of equipment is considered acceptable… but the basic, crank window model (a 24C) package has a higher residual and much lower MSRP than the 24S model – so if you can go basic you will be able to find some deals out there.
