2018 Jeep Grand Jeep Cherokee Limited 4x2 - Help!

THis forum has been great and helped me on a lease on my last vehicle (BMW x1). I’m looking to lease a 2018 Jeep Grade Cherokee and wanted to see how this deal look. Thanks!

Could I do better??

$400/month for a GC limited is actually not too bad. I just leased 2 Laredos (One Laredo E and one Laredo Upland) for $349 and $328 respectively.

One question: Why are you paying taxes twice? Ie in the monthly payment as well as upfront?

What incentives did you get?

gc2a. Good question. I’ve had to ask the dealer for RV, MF and backed into lease calculator with this info they gave me. I was told the $400 include tax, though my experience has been that the lease work sheets usually don’t include the tax as the payment. They assured me that $687 at signing and $400 a month all in. Thought?

$4,500 so I assume no conquest. Did you get a TrueCar coupon? I got for $500.

Doc fee is super high. Also Looks like you’re getting 5.6% off MSRP. Not bad, but try to get that to 7-9%. That’ll make this a good deal.

Thanks. How do you get the TrueCar coupon? I just saw I should get another $200 off as an Amex holder too.

I searched for the vehicle using the zip code of the dealer I knew had the trim I wanted in stock.

I think you should try to get more off MSRP

I’m negotiating my first lease and having trouble exactly what goes into the calculator to see if it is a good deal.

The dealer is asking for $1,500 down, but I’m trying to push for no down payment.

Please help!

@asorr91 Okay. Can you help me understand why?

Is this a SoCal deal?

Yes, San Diego County.

Did you end up buying it? The reason being I have a great connection for one in the Orange County area. Just recently purchased on myself.

Hi, I’m new here to this site. I’m interested in this car as well and received the following offer. I have not done any negotiations at this point:

Is this a good deal? It’s a 2018 Jeep GC Limited 4x4 MSRP 43280 with Uconnect 8.4 display and Blind spot monitoring. I wasn’t sure how to interpret the “total lease cash” of $5000. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

@bsv Lease cash is the Jeep incentive.

$399/month with $0 DAS for 36/12 on a GC Limited 4x4 is a good deal even with just 6% dealer discount. If you can get them to knock a few more % points off, take that deal!

Also, make sure you’re getting every last incentive you qualify for. When I was in ya market for a GC last month, diff dealers sometimes came back with varying incentive amounts.

Another point I should include. I am currently in an Infiniti lease that ends in November. Two payments left. Do you think I should go ahead with a deal now or wait until my lease is near its end? It’s only two payments so I could have them rolled into this deal. Just not sure if Jeep will have as good of incentives in October/November timeframe.

Based on my experience, the issue in November won’t necessarily be incentives, rather inventory. I know around here (NJ) there’s a big shortage of the trims I was interested in (Upland and Altitude). This may not be the case for the limited since it’s by far the most popular trim, in which case waiting may be more prudent. 2 more infiniti payments isn’t exactly nothing…

$367/month payment for total of $734. Not terrible…

Ok so that’d amount to about $20/month.

What you can do is, decide what your buy now payment/month for the GC would be, and try to get it about $20 lower in order to compensate for those last payments.

If that $399/month with $0 down without negotiation is the real number, you’re in a good position to knock it down by $25/month or so. And if you get this deal for around $375/month with just $375 DAS you take that deal now.

I have them at $384/month 36/12k miles. That includes last two payments on my lease and disposition fee (~1100). $0 down and taxes included. Ideally I’d like 15k miles but they’re saying $419/month at those miles. I don’t think its worth it for the extra miles. Maybe I can get them down from that.

Sounds like a great deal. Since today is 8/31, I’d take it. Good job.
