2018 Jaguar F Type R $1083

MSRP: $111,088.

Amount Due: $106,762.88

For 6K down they are asking for $1083 a month for 33 months. Residual is $60,798.40. They didn’t include the lease cash which is $2800. This is in Metro Detroit area and I am meeting the dealer in person on Wednesday. Besides telling them about the $2800 lease cash anything else I should try to lower? I have contacted multiple dealers in New York who are asking even more for 107k msrp cars with 5k down. Hornbug in LA is saying you can’t ship with your own independent carrier, they said they use their own and will cost around 3 grand to have the car shipped to Michigan. Any input would be appreciated.

Wait a couple of months and get a Corvette for half that cost from dealers that are probably in your state or close by. Yes it’s less exotic but similar performance. Other option is wait to see if there is a sales push with Jag to move any older units during winter, last year they had some great offers but no guarantee of the same this year.

Have you looked at the certified used pricing? I’ve seen some R’s around $65k with very low miles, but they’ll likely be a long way from Detroit unfortunately.

Aren’t Corvettes historically bad leases? I’m not sure I’ve ever seen or heard about a real lease “deal” on a Corvette.

Shoot for 16-20% off MSRP on F-Type R. '19s are making their way to dealers.

These are terrible for what they should be in the coming months. Hold on if you can.

You can call and order a Vette here without negotiation. Zero down. $540 / month.

Ship it home for less than $1,500.

Enjoy your V8!

Regardless of the actual deal, $3000 to ship that vehicle is literal highway robbery.

I know it’s crazy man, and the lease cash is actually $4800 now. That should significantly help lower my payments.

One of my friends got a much bigger discount at Hornburg for 2017 Type R last year. His payments were ~ $900 with tax and no down payment other than drive offs

If you can wait another 2 months, they will have a bunch 2018s in November/December that they will need to get rid off. I’ve seen $20-25K off MSRP in SoCal. It will cover shipping easily and save you $10 grand.

I’d be happy to fly anywhere in the US, and drive that car anywhere in the US for $3,000.

lol…obtain your own transportation

I hope so. I’m looking for the same model. I’ve hired a broker to find one, and my price is $850 or less per month with nothing down. I’m hoping as the 2019’s start coming in and it starts getting colder, there will be some available at that price. Good luck.
