2018 Jaguar F-Type lease

Hey All,

I’m considering leasing a 2018 Jaguar F-Type (340hp) and have seen many posts on this on this site showing that the F-Type was leasing pretty well in 2017 so I figured I’d take my chances and see what kind of deal I can get in 2018. I’ve reached out to a couple dealers for pricing info and haven’t been too impressed with their offerings. Now I’m thinking that maybe I’m being too ambitious and need to be brought back down to earth. Hopefully this forum is the right place to confirm or set me straight.

Current deal:
MSRP: $72k
Sale: $70k
Down: $1k
Residual: 54%
MF: .0002
Term: 39M
Monthly payment: ~$850

Ideally, I’d want to be in the $625-650/month range with $0 down. Holding the residual and MF constant, I’d have to bring the sale price to around $61-62k. That’s roughly 14% off MSRP! Am I being too greedy here or will Jaguar play ball?

Any feedback/criticism is welcome

2017’s still on lots, those are best deals to be had. Here’s one in Richmond VA. You should get a minimum of 10k more off. Also, residuals depend on who is the leasing company, US bank was putting residuals near 70% for some terms during the time period you are referring to. Look through the forums.

The cheap F-Type you see in Texas is for sale and they apparently won’t talk lease according to members of this forum who have called on it.

If you can afford this payment, you can afford the shipping cost, so expand your search. New cars are commodities.

More than $10k off… i got $10k off in March of 2017 for a brand new 2017 model (msrp $65k)

10k more off, so minimum 20k off.

@carddicted I was taking a look at the deal you got. Seems like you were able to negotiate around 15% off MSRP. How difficult was it to get them down that much?

@JalopSpecial Thanks for the insight. I haven’t considered the 2017 since I’ve heard the 2018 has a new and improved infotainment system. This is definitely something I’ll need to explore.

Do you happen to have a ballpark figure for shipping costs?

Exchanged 2 emails, lol

Depending on how fast you want it will dictate it, also get multiple quotes. I believe some of the dealers on here say its approx 1000-1500 for cross country maybe less depending on the volume of the delivery business and your flexibility. Obviously, that is not much over a 24 term or a 39 month term (relative to overall payment).

A decent smartphone and you have a way better infotainment system.

Just remember that while this forum is great you have a lot of members who get on a plane and drive the cars back to save a lot of money. The member with the C300 from Nashville to DC the other night. Any “miracle” you see on this forum are 95% the result of hard work and usually a nationwide search.

To save 8% more on the top of the 10% off for 2017 model I consider no brainier. I’ve got 2017 XE and they offered exactly the same 2018 model for $140 more, “but with improved infotaiment”, guess what I got.

Did you get pricing from the one in Richmond?

I reached out yesterday but it doesn’t seem to be available anymore.

Interested in the deal you got on the XE if you don’t mind

It was a while back, you have to really look now for the 2017 model. Usually they have a promo in the end of each quarter, but the price I’ve got surely will be hard to replicate next time.

Local dealer has 11 2017 XEs in almost all of the basic trims (no r sport or /
S).

Based off of last years f type deals maybe I should wait until March with it being end of the fiscal year?

Fun car. I know my local dealer has loaners available too but I have no idea how Jaguar loaners work.

I’ve got the XE 20 diesel premium, 17" wheels, Navi and the cold package. What do I miss comparing to the previous car are an adaptive bi-xenon, the blind spot monitoring, the front parking sensor and the leather seats. But, getting 318 torque 180 hp diesel is more than enough for the city and interstate driving.

I test drove Q50 3t 300hp it has the same turbo lag, but this car would cost me $100 a week for gas, $200 more per 6 months ins, and $80 more the lease payment.
Edit. Loaners they sell like the new with 4k on Odo and this pissing me off. I’ve got the new.
