2018 Infiniti Q50 3.0T Luxe AWD 325/mth & 10K/yr. NY Metro Area - 1 more unit at $325

So you capped a $795 bank fee, but are doing taxes out of pocket? Taxes add $25 a month to the deal. It’s the same program as it is everywhere else this month.

The reason taxes are not included like you do is that every state in the tri state area has a different tax rate but the bank fee is common where you register it.

This deal is 325/ mth with $1164 at vehicle delivery which includes 1st month of 325 and 839 for NJ taxes.

I will let the forum compare and comment on your last deal for similar car which is $50 bucks more a month and more due at inception.

Correct - the January Q50 program is way worse than last month’s. That’s why I question the numbers you posted. I don’t know of a dealer that’s going $4500 under invoice.

Luxe residuals dropped 2% compared to last month. Even the most aggressive dealers go about $2k under.

Why don’t you reach out to the people who commented above that got the deal. I posted something similar around Jan 10th as well. That car was taken by a forum member as well.

I don’t do deals for people. I just help them do it by pointing them to the right person who can get the deal done.

I’m not denying it - it’s that I have never seen a dealer go this far under to do this so early in the year.

Now you have a benchmark to hit. Just kidding.

I am myself not sure how he is doing it but if it is being done and the forum members are getting deals, all good for me.

Someone got a BMW 330e loaner today in Ohio for $110. Can you believe it but it did happen.

Let me now go and post today’s deal of the day in a new thread.

HN.

The most aggressive dealers do 3 to 3.5k under. I haven’t seen anything below 3.5k under on the Q50. The lowest I’ve seen is 3.75k under on the QX50

$3500 under gets you to this $325 number. Or close to it.

Is the common theme for dealers to unload the sedans and stock up on SUVs?

This is not a theme to dump sedans.

I have a different thread in Marketplace for 2017 Infiniti QX50 crossover as well which is $309/mth with similar outlay at inception.

Yeah but that car is a POS. The platform was released in 2008. That deal also isn’t as good as the Q50 deal you have, 300 is the going rate for those.

Maybe you are right about the platform being old but I won’t call it POS. That VQ engine in it is thirsty but is a bulletproof combo with the 7 Speed Transmission. That thing just won’t die for ever if you take basic care of it.

Also that is the last of 6 Cylinder non turbo engine in that car as 2019 will come with a 4 Cylinders.

However everyone has a right to their opinion. If someone is interested in that vehicle its available to be picked at that price without any negotiations or BS fees.

Yeah, just saying that its about 400 higher than usual and the interior of the car is awful. Whereas the Q50 is lower. Plus, who cares whether the car will last if its a lease? Some dealers raise the price of the suvs while lower the prices of the sedans depending on current inventory levels.

For once, I agree. That car is awful. I used to get 15mpg with that guzzler of an engine in my old G37, and that was when we were pushing $4 / gallon.

Talking about old, I still have a 2003 G35 with a variant of that engine rated at 3.5L and easily get 20 MPG with 155K on it. All stock and original.

If you are a lead foot it is thirsty.

Ive had the 2006 G35 Couple, 2014 Q50 Premium and now 2017 qx50

The worst driving car among the bunch is…the q50

The interior is cheap too, no matter how nice it looks. It will eventually break down.Little stuff here and there will break. My drive select mode button eventelly broke/jammed. The Radio takes 60sec to turn on and you cant change the radio until it loads up. My backup camera line guidance eventually stopped working unless the car is on for 20minutes. not helpful when you first turn the car on and need to backup

The 2017 qx50 drove way better then my q50. Not even close. “Steering, handling, responsiveness”

Not to mention now the Q50 is gauging customers. Extra 10k-13k to get geniune leather seats over the base? Need to spend a extra 7-8k to get the sensory package to get the Bose speakers “which is almost standard on most infinitis with a tiny $800 premium upgrade”

Alot of the luxury features like memory seats, driver assist, advanced climate control system are pretty much standard on the qx50. On the q50 is all $$$$ extra for this $$$$ for that

Like the other person mentioned. The 2017 qx50 with its nissan 370z FM engine is one of the last of a dying breed. Do i wish the interior looked more modern…Sure. But it drives better then the q50.

Qx50 is for people who like the old school infiniti sports ride with the firm hydraulic steering. Not some steer by wire nonsense, or spending 45k to get vinyl seats on a freaking luxury car

Also with Gas milage. My q50 got 14-15mpg My g35 coupe also got 14-15mpg And my qx50 is averaging about 14mpg cause i drive it hard. It really depends on the driver and where you live. For example in vegas, we get creamed with non synced traffic lights that will be sure to eat any gas milage up With the constant acceleration, then stop then acceleration. My gfs Ford Fusion 1.5 eco boost engine only was averaging 19mpg and thats supposed to be 24/30

Everyone wishes for a return to hydraulic power steering, but the direction of the industry is to electronic. Also, everyone gouges on options. My $54k 340i doesn’t have leather seats, either, which is fine because the pleather feels exactly the same.

The 3 liter in the q50 is a terrific engine from a pure power standpoint. It severely lacks in the transmission department. The ZF that is in BMW and even Jaguar is miles ahead of Infiniti (and I’d argue even the Audi DCT). With a little refinement in its tranny, the q50 would be a viable competitor to the Germans, at a fraction of the cost.

This pretty much sums it up - the 3.0 turbo is amazing, but the transmission isn’t great. The 3 Series transmission is incredible and really puts things in perspective if you’re cross-shopping the two. The Q50 may drive softer than the G37, but what car in this segment isn’t going soft? Everyone complains about this with the 3 Series, too. It’s what most customers want.

The other comments about the interior being cheap are pretty off-base. It’s not a C-Class interior, but it’s a lot more fun to drive. Maybe the 2014s had some fit and finish issues, but my 2017 feels very well-built - comparable to the 3 Series. The comments about Infiniti gouging consumers are silly too - they give customers $7,000 off without even negotiating.

It’s a great car for the money, period.

It’s not a C-Class in interior, and it’s not a BMW in performance, but it tries to mesh the two of those.

If you stick that ZF into a red sport btw, you might be able to rival an M3, since it has AWD. Otherwise, I have found red sports, which, on paper, have a ton more power than my 340i, to be significantly inferior to it.
