Not suggesting this dealer did one thing or other, but can you expand on what kind of ânot kosherâ things a dealer can do to work out an extra discount?
They can sign you up for VPP and you donât even know it. I find it weird that the dealer went from 35.5k to 34k. Vpp is 1500. They use a company that wonât confirm employment, normally larger ones.
I was thinking they made him a âfriendâ to get VPP. Either way, I was thinking the same as you.

Not surprising I suppose; reminds me of ChrisPâs PGA scam, dealers will make it work to get the sale I suppose. I picked up a Mercedes for my parents and when I tried to use my fleet pin they told me they had already applied an employee discount which left me scratching my head.

Iâve reached out to 6 or 7 Infiniti dealers in my area (Chicago area) and canât come close to that payment.
From one dealer I was quoted a sale price $35,000 for the 2018 Q50 3.0 AWD LUXE with Essential and as soon as I mentioned leasing it, he jumped the sale price up to 38,860 and said the $35,000 was for purchase only. Several other dealers have done the same thing. It seems they wonât lease it based on anything lower than $38,000. What am I doing wrong?
A few other dealers have quoted me lease prices of $387 month plus tax, plates, registration due at signing
What would you do if you were me? Iâve only leased 1 car in my life.

The original poster worked really hard to get this deal done. He not only learned the the details about complete process by reading various posts here but he negotiated very well after a detailed call with me where I explained which car to pick to get the best deal apart from other minor leasing details.
His timing was absolutely best as it was end of the month, end of year and the dealer was motivated to get the sale. Frankly I couldnât get that deal today if I want to.
I am not saying a good deal canât be had now but people shouldnât try to exactly replicate the deal as incentives have changed and its a different month.

I got a dealer to put $700 down for $375 a month in ATL with a 48K MSRP Q50. They denied me taking 7 payments from my Lexus. They said more payments will have Infiniti Financial Services to deny it. Only if it had less than 3 months, they would take it on. I guess I will drive the car for few more months.
