I’m interested in leasing a new Tucson, but every quote I’ve gotten is north of $370/month.
The dealers tell me that there’s a 9% “lease tax” in Chicago, is that true? Zip code is 60645 so I would fall into that category if there is.
Even with the 36mo/10k option, the lowest price anyone offered was $373/month 1st month DAS.
I have a trade-in valued at about $22k, and I owe about $22.5k, so that shouldn’t make any significant difference, right?
I see crazy leases on here for Infinity’s for under $300/month! How is a measly Hyundai running so high at $375?
I’ve tried looking at the 2018 Accord Sport as well, and the prices are even higher, around $390/month.
Is there any way to find a decent car for a good price? It seems all the Tucson “deals” don’t really exist.

Tucson just doesn’t lease well. Neither does Accord Sport.
Are there any vehicles in similar price range (24k-28k) with a similar feature package that do lease well?
Equinox has leased well. Just because the MSRP is the same doesn’t mean that the payment will be what you think. $60k Volvos were (emphasis on were) ~$300 in the past and meanwhile its tough to get an Accord for that
Running the November 2018 Tucson numbers through the Leasehackr Calculator, it looks like you should be able to get a 2018 Tucson Sport closer to $320 a month. Not sure if that’s good enough for you to be worth it.

36 months / 12k miles per year
$4,900 in Lease Cash from Hyundai
52% residual value
9% sales tax
If you’re a Costco member, you could check with them on preferred pricing through their associated dealers. I think I got about 10% off MSRP on my Sonata when I used Costco auto before I started negotiating with the dealer directly.
Where in the Chicagoland are you? Just leased an Accord Sport 1.5T for $330 with only first month due at signing.
A bit north of the Loop. But I’m willing to go a bit outta the way to get a good lease deal.
With the City AND State sales tax I think the total tax is closer to 18%
