Does the other numbers seem correct? Given through an email

You should be able to get a much less sales price than that.
Pretty bad deal to be honest.

There are two issues:

(1) They aren’t giving you much discount here and they are significantly marking up the money factor.

(2) The accord simply does not lease well. You’d get much more car for a lot less if you looked at the Acura TLX.

(3) You’re in Texas so you pay tax on the full sale price.

I thought that was right. I haven’t seen a lot of examples of lower sales prices in Tx is the issue. Any idea of a rough number I should be aiming for?

Do you have rough estimates for monthly payments for a similar lease for a TLX? I thought they had super low RV so leases for them were similar to Accord levels.

Agreed with @28firefighter
Unless you really love honda, otherwise try other brands like Acura/Infiniti/BMW

I like Honda a lot. I am really looking for a car with Android Auto. I am impartial other than that.

I don’t - you can search the boards here. The Acura’s have better money factors and a boatload of lease cash on them.

I did a quote with one local dealer in April. MSRP ~34600 and they offered 29000 + tax in the first email. But this is for purchase not lease. Might be helpful for you though.

Honda and Acura dealers aren’t known for marking up the MF. Did you confirm that as the buy rate on Edmunds?

Buy rate, I believe, is .00110 and 36/12 residual is 55%. Could be a combination of marked up MF and/or lower than Tier 1 credit.

Yeah probably the case. I didn’t give any credit info so they likely by default gave me lowest credit possible to be conservative.

Ask them to assume top tier credit, if that is what you have. It should drop to .00110.

That said, all the other suggestions here still apply - this is not the best car to lease right now.

Okay I am starting to look into an Acura. Can you link me to a thread about good Acura deals?

Use the search bar up top, search Acura TLX, and sort it by latest topic…I’m not personally familiar with Acura deals other than peripherally.

You can lease a Mercedes-Benz E-Class for probably around the same with some work. You can save $100/month and lease a Volvo S90.

Do you really want an Accord and Android Auto that much?

Honda leases generally tend to really suck. This is yet another great example of why you shouldn’t lease a Honda.

Granted you are in Texas so the taxation on leases there makes deals far less attractive (and it makes your Accord lease even worse than other Accord leases).

Android Auto is extremely important to me. Maybe it’s foolish of me to put that so high on my list, but I love being able to sync my phone with my car and have it play audio and have seamless maps.

Oh man, here we go again.

I’ve heard there are some big time leases on '18 Accord Touring Hybrid

You could get an A4 for that kind of money, also look at a C class and the S90
