2018 Ford Fusion SE 1.5 EcoBoost with Tech Package $199+Tax 36/10.5 with 0 DAS in California

Hi,

Ford runs until 9th July a pretty good special on the Ford Fusion SE 1.5 with Tech. Reasonable alternative to Hyundai Sonata SE and Camry deals imho.
This is an advertised lease but I think it is pretty good anyways.
It includes 5900$ in Lease Cash out of which 3000$ is Loyalty (Ford Lessee or Owner in the last 90 days) which is the only big catch - otherwise I would’ve gotten it myself.

You can get the same car also for only 24 months (23 payments only, because of 0 DAS) at a ~15$ higher monthly payment (which is what I would’ve done if I would qualify). The residual for 24 months / 10.5k miles is 51%.

I reverse engineered the detailed numbers a bit after talking to a couple of dealers and doing my research (might not be 100% accurate, but I think it will be close to the precise breakdown):

MSRP: $24,765
Selling Price: $21,140 (15% off before incentives)
Incentives: $2,900 lease cash + $3,000 Loyalty
Monthly Payment (35 payments only): 199$ + tax
Due at Signing: $0 (includes all fees, registration etc.)
Miles/year: 10,500
Months: 36
Residual: 44%
Total payments over lease term: $6,965 + tax
Leasehackr Score: 9.9 (with 8.5% tax rate)

Note that the Fusion SE 1.5 with Tech is NOT the base Model. It actually has the “better” engine, a large touchscreen with sync 3 (android auto, apple carplay), a pretty good sounding 9 speaker sound system with subwoofer, all electric seats, automatic headlights, LED daytime running lights etc.

Found the ad here https://www.carsdirect.com/deals-articles/best-4th-of-july-new-car-deals#Ford_4th_of_July_Deals and confirmed it with a couple of dealers: Ford Fremont, Fairfield and Galpin. Ford Sunnyvale didn’t want to warrant the deal and pretended this offer is not valid anymore at any dealer.

Here’s a screenshot of the offer from Galpin fords website:

WOW that residual. The hybrid residual is actually better than the the non hybrid? I’m wondering what a hybrid titanium goes for vs regular titanium. If it can be done for $325/mo all in including tax I might consider one.

I kinda doubt the Hybrid’s residual is better. You may be referring to a Titanium Hybrid. The Titanium has generally better residual than the SE. As far as I remember the Regular Titanium’s 36/10.5 residual is 48% as far as I remember.

Ok yeah I was looking at numbers on the Titanium so I just assumed the hybrids were all high 40s residuals.
