$514 is way too high for an xlt, you should be in a well equipped lariat for that much, what’s the term and mileage? you need to find the money factor on this deal and match it up with base money factor from edmunds, I think for this particular msrp you should be able to get more than 9k off msrp, you should be closer to 13-15k off an xlt, not sure what region you are in but certain areas are harder to get a better deal so basically what im saying is you should have a better dealer discount, also dont put any money down on a lease or at least not when you get a quote, they are using ur down payment to cover the tax tags license as well as additional cap cost reduction, if you drive that truck off the lot today and you total it then you are out that $1-$2k, so its better to calculate with only first month due at signing or best to calculate it with 0 due at signing. I think an appropriate payment for this deal would be somewhere in the $415-$450 range, seeing as its a fully equipped xlt, another thing is that you should choose a 4x4 because it has a better residual. If you have any questions for me feel free to ask, I just did a lease on 2 of these trucks so I can give you a good idea on where the dealer is hiding money.
Yeah it looks too high for me as well. This is a 4x4 and almost fully loaded.
I am in the bay area, california which means it will probably be harder to find a great deal. Taxes are pretty high here.
I’m not putting any cash down besides first month and fees, that’s for sure. They just write it up strangely. They might be padding something there because 1200 due at signing seems a bit high. I will find out what the MF is.
Was hoping to get it down to 450ish after tax but I guess I could settle for 475.
just check out what the base money factor is, for my region last month it was 1.2%, maybe yours is too, that would shave a solid $50+ off your monthly if 1.2% is base.
According to Edmunds I believe those numbers are already at the base:
What do you all think?
They said they could bring the payment down to 508 with tax (460ish pre-tax), although I was hoping to lock down the deal before I went into the dealership.
This is my first lease so I’m not too sure on what else I can do to get it lower, but they seem to not be willing to drop any further on this one.
