2018 Escalade Lease Help

My BMW x5 lease is coming up in a couple of months. I have started looking for a new car to lease and would like to get into a 2018 Escalade Premium Luxury with an MSRP of about 92,000. I have contacted 3 dealers in my area and all came back with a lease of about 1400 per month including tax with a downpayment of 2500. I asked for the money factor and residual and this is what I got as a response. Is this the best deal i can get? Should i pass on this?

MF is 0.00100833
Residual rate is 52%

"Cadillac usually does special rates and residuals and not discounts on a lease. It all works out to near the same. If they had a huge discount the money factor would be higher and residual lower. I’ve never seen 10% off on an escalade lease because they usually don’t do that. Is there a certain monthly payment you’re trying to reach? We can see if we can get there this month or next month if anything changes on the lease. It is a great lease this month as the money factor is very good and so is the residual. "

Same dealer BS, you should be able to get 5k-10k off msrp. Next time don’t mention that you want to lease wait until you have a negotiated sales price pre rebates.

DO you mean tell them that i want to buy it? Once we agree change and let them know i would like to lease instead?

No he means get the sales price of the car negotiated before they factor in rebates and once that’s set, you can talk lease/buy with the dealer

There is A LOT in that. If you need help in the NY/NJ area I could probably get that down quite a bit.

If you want to take a crack at it on your own, try to shave off another 8k off at least.

Since when is a 52% residual any good? Maybe if it was 48 months!

What if I purchased it from you in NJ and you shipped it to AZ

Nah LOL :). Should be 1100 per month with just first month for 39 months

That’s dealer fluff to make you think you’re getting a good deal. That’s all.

If the dealer doesn’t know if it’s a lease or finance deal they could apply incentives that aren’t applicable, which could change the deal in a material way once that is communicated.

OP needs to do some research and know what incentives are available and what they qualify for, assuming there are any on the Escalade.

That is why I said before rebates…

I understand what you’re saying and if it’s worked for you great, but frankly I want to cut to the chase and get the deal done. Why not be upfront about your intentions and go in prepared with hard numbers up front? Just tell them you want to lease the Cadillac Escalade for 36 months/10K miles. You qualify for rebates A, B, C, and based on the research I want to know if you can agree to $XXX/month on Stock #XXXX.

Uh, yeah I know, just being sarcastic.

fair enough…hard to tell.

How many months and miles do you want? RV is different for each trim and AWD vs 2wd by up to 4 points.
Guessing 36 months is best but I can work the numbers whichever way you prefer.

I am looking for AWD 12k miles

Yeah, doesn’t translate well over text haha

@nyclife is right on the money. $92,000 MSRP AWD Premium Luxury 36/12 .00015 MF .50RV comes to $1,054 before tax considerations per my calculations or $1,039 for 39 months. This is with $10k off sticker.

A Luxury model would be slightly better as it has 1 point higher RV and MF is only .00002

Where in AZ? I used to work in that market and might be able to refer you to someone

Phoenix and Scottsdale, but i can drive to Tuscon if the deal is really good.
