Hey guys,
I’m new to the lease hacking world and wanted to see if you could help me out. Any info. is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Here is the proposed deal…
2018 Chevy Silverado 4x4 Custom Crew Cab
MSRP: $43, 935
Residual 59%
$41,795 Dealer Price
$3,500 Chevy Incentives
$2,950 Due At Signing (tax, title, first payment, DMV Fee)
375/mo (includes 8.625% NY tax)
36mo / 12k
.0016 Money Factor
Region: Long Island, New York
What does the amount due at signing include?
Hi SnowMan,
Thank you for the response. I just edited my post. It includes the tax, title, first payment and DMV fee.
Why’s the discount so low? What’s invoice on this truck?
Agreed. It doesn’t look like the dealer is discounting it much. The incentives cost them nothing, and they are only giving you a little less than 5% dealer discount.
@joeblogs $41,795 is the invoice. @anon98469396 , What should I be looking for then (deal wise)? I know they have a 16% off msrp if financing through GM Financial but that doesn’t affect leases right? Here are some pics. Of the car and special 4th of July pricing they have. They said that price is if its finances. Are they lying to me?
How many dealers have you shopped? Have you compared deals on the Sierra/GMC? Domestics are pretty straight forward, selling price minus rebates,. I’d ask for at least half of the hold back.
The financing discount is different than the lease discount, but you can usually get more than 5 percent dealer discount plus rebates. Ask @chevysalesgirl and @ChevyPhil what they think of this deal.
@joeblogs I’ve shopped at about 5 different dealers. I have gotten prices in the low 400’s but thats with little negotiating. I didn’t push as much as I did with this perticular dealer. I spent 3 hours there. also, I haven’t compared GMC Sierra deals. Thank you for the advice. @anon98469396 thank you for the input. @chevysalesgirl and @ChevyPhil what do you both think of this? Thank you all.
It can’t hurt to get a couple GMC quotes, sometimes they are have a better lease program. Do you have access to the supplier discount?
GMC might be an option. GMC has a point or 2 on RV advantage, based on trim, however, there is no GMF lease cash. Both GMC and Chevy have a roughly 3-4% rate, based on trim. The Silverado double cab does have 3500 CCR. That would be the only trim out of all of them that has lease cash.
Rebates + dealer discount would be the determining factor.
@joeblogs I can see the different companies that qualify but I dont work for any of them. Neither does my family. I’ll try to get a few quotes from gmc too. Thanks
@mp11477 I would go for a double but unfortunately it will not work with my kids and the car seats. Thank you for the input.
