2018 C300 4dr sedan lease deal, South FL, evaluation HELP 🙏🏻

Greetings - I was quoted a $379/month (tax inc.) on a 2018 C300 with 3k miles on it, P1 package and panoramic sunroof, in the Fort Lauderdale area. Following were the lease detail breakout:
MSD - 10 ($4200)
Residual - 59%
MF - .00009
Drive off - $1500, included first month and fees.

I would appreciate any opinions on lease deal, good and bad. Any other alternatives to be able to bring the payment just under $350? All help is greatly appreciated. First time lessee :pensive: please help! :pray:t2:

More discount. At least another $1000.

Thank you for your note. Is there an additional incentive I could ask for? Or just push for more discount? What are your thoughts on the deal? Does an AMA membership for physicians qualify for additional discount?
New member on here, and hoping to learn from the experience. Thanks in advance for your help.

Push for more discount and when you feel you’ve gotten to the bottom price, use any available way to qualify for Fleet. It will stack on top of your discount from the dealer. Since it comes direct from the OEM.

I will. Thank you. Will post once I get word back on the counteroffer.

Final lease offer on a demo 2017 Mercedes C300 with P2 package and 9400 Miles, in the fort lauderdale, FL area. Here are the details:
Vehicle Price: $45,815
Selling Price: $34,375 - includes appearance protection plan and 2 prepaid maintainence
Residual - 59%
MF after 10 MSDs - .00096.
339/month - 36 months 10k Miles.

Here’s the link to the lease hacker calculator. I played around with the MF to arrive at the monthly payment quoted by the dealership, which appears to be higher than what the dealership put down on paper.

Numbers probably don’t match up on the calculator because you didn’t lower the residual.

Demo/loaner cars take a hit to the residual after a certain point. Doing some quick rough math I think it should be around 56%, I could be wrong though.

Thanks for your note. That’s the lowest (59%) residual i’ve been quoted around 6 dealerships in south Florida. It stands as a take it or leave it deal currently. I’m not sure if the numbers will change. Is it a good deal? the leasehackr score seems to suggest so.
Also, the prepaid maintenance included in the deal is approx. $665 (x3, every 10k). is it worth getting it? i believe it’s inflated. is it better to just take care of the maintenance as and when it occurs?

Are you sure that MSRP is right? Seems low for a P2 car.

Yes, here’s the quote from the dealership.

Is the prepaid maintenance residualized? Only take MB prepaid maintenance if it’s residualized.

Also: the dealer should perform the 10k service prior to sale, given the miles. Then you only have to pay for the 20k and 30k. You are returning before 40k.

When was the car “punched”? Ie when did the warranty start? If it’s been more than a year then you’ll run out of warranty before the lease ends.

Thanks, max_g. I am going back to the dealership tomorrow so I will confirm if the prepaid maintainence is residualised and the punch date. I agree with your point on the 10k service and will ask for that too.

Hi Max_g - thanks for your advice. Picked up the car yesterday and loved it. For your notes, the car is covered under a 5 year unlimited dealer warranty. Punch date 3/31/2017, and will cover the lease duration. Prepaid maintainence was not residualized, so I took it off, but got the $499 dent protection plan added. I figured living in soflo, it’ll come in handy. Final monthly payment at 305/month including taxes. Also, the 10k service was performed 2 weeks ago. Reviewed the car fax report thoroughly. This forum has been very helpful in getting this prized possession. Thanks to everybody and max_g for the help.

Congrats. Also post a photo in our ongoing photo thread called “Trophy Garage”

PS. Most protection plans have X days to cancel for a full refund. I would cancel it personally

Thank you, max_g. I sure will. I’ve been thinking about it too because I got sold on the “protect your luxury investment and MSD refund.” Thought when it was put out. Do you think it’s better to just take care as when an event occurs?

Yeah just common sense (e.g. don’t park next to the shopping cart corrals) and take care of it if/when needed.

I’ve saved thousands by declining these packages over the years, even after occasionally paying out of pocket. The other thing is, I want to drive a nice car and if anything happens I want to fix it ASAP. I don’t want to drive around for months/years with dings just because I paid for a lease-end waiver.

Very nice deal. Do you mind sharing what dealership it was or who you worked with? I’m in the market for a car just like this and live in Central Florida - and I definitely wouldn’t mind taking the trip down.

Is the pre-paid a one time charge? If it is, I would go with it. MBZ basically go through a service every 10K miles. They can be from $280-400 a pop. A Schedule “A” and “B” maint would cover the initial cost. If you follow the manual schedule, there are three services during the first 15mo of ownership. That might be over $600 alone. I only got oil changes on my benzs but they were Not cheap.

One isn’t required to go to a dealership for maintenance.
