2018 BMW X5 Lease Deal or No Deal

,

Hi,

I got some numbers from a Houston dealership on a New 2018 BMW X5 3.5i.

The money factor being used is .00188. No Tax Credits as per the dealer.

Hows the deal looking? I want to grind down the monthly payment and the down payment.

someone posted this deal other day
2019 BMW X540i (Convenience, Premium)

MSRP - $67,130
Selling Price - $62,065 including $1,500 lease cash
MF: .00188 (base rate)
Residual: 59%
36 Month - 10k miles
Monthly Payment - $815
Due at signing:

  • First month payment: $815
  • Down payment: $0
  • Registration and doc fees: $1,005
  • Acquisition fee: $925
  • Total Tax: $2,799

They just don’t lease well. I would shop the quote around and try and find somewhere doing tax credits which would save you ~$2.5k. That’s the only way you’ll knock a significant chunk off this. Even a custom order might be similar or slightly cheaper with tax credits.

Pretty bad… I believe there is $1,000 lease cash that they are rolling into the discount so they are giving like a 11% off MSRP for an outdated body style. You should shoot for 16% off before the $1,000. I assume you aren’t eligible for loyalty? That’s another $1,500.

I have a ‘18 X5 which i like but definitely not worth paying $800/month for one. Unfortunately December appears to be the best month to grab one as there was higher lease cash, RV, and better MF.

May want to look at other cars at this point; you can get almost 3 QX60 for this price

Let me try and get them further down on the discount to start. The cars not for me, and after test driving several suvs in this class, the X5 is the car that is wanted.

At that price point, you can likely get a ‘19 with the new body style for slightly more which would be a no brainer. Think high single digits is a good discount for a 2019 based on recent posts here.

That’s good advice. Im going to look into that as well.

Try looking for loaners if you don’t mind a vehicle with couple thousand miles on it. A friend of mine recently got a same msrp loaner for $638 incl tax with 2k due at signing and 15k miles per year, and no loyalty or college grad, but it’s in SoCal, so not sure how TX dealers are willing to discount.

Yes that loaner deal is possible. $600 + tax 15k miles on a 2018 courtesy X5 vehicle is something my BMW guy in CA quoted me recently. Don’t want to go that route because nobody treats a loaner car like their own.

I didn’t realise your original quote was for a 2018. You should be looking for those sorts of numbers on a 2019 X5 40i. I would try League City BMW and Tyler BMW, they tend to be more willing to negotiate.

Do you have a contact at either dealership?
