Just wanted to share the deal I just pulled the trigger on. I’m pretty happy with it overall. I wasn’t expecting to get this car - but after seeing it in person and the relatively strong incentives that were offered, I went for it. So far, so good.
MSRP: $52,520
Sales Price: $44,892 - 15% off
DAS: $1,500 (this included first month and fees - so about $1,000 “down”)
Incentives: $4,750 (lease cash + Costco)
Months: 24
Annual Mileage: 10k
MF: 0.00197 (I pushed and pushed for .00166, but they wouldn’t budge below this)
Residual: 65%
Region: Colorado
I had heard rumblings on this site that BMW killed it but the dealer pulled up Costco Auto right in front of me, entered my Costco number and printed my BMW certificate and gave me the $500 - no issues at all.
It was brand new. Had 5 miles before my test drive and 9 miles when I drove it off the lot
This is a great deal on a vehicle with excellent options and colors. Your marked up MF is more than offset by the discount, IMO, so you did great. Love the white on red!
I think the deal overall was good and, you’re right, the MF markup wasn’t that big of a deal due to the discount - but I would say that was just one area that irked me, ha.
I do enjoy the aggressive styling, which I think is what drew me to it in the first place. One area of frustration though, for those potentially looking at the X2, is the LACK OF ROOF RAILS!!! For some reason I didn’t notice this when I was at the dealership and then I got home and just shook my head…kind of foolish on my part but also frustrating that this was something that was even done by BMW. How could this not just be a standard?
Anyway, I already have the part numbers tracked down and I’ll probably end up buying them to install myself - but for this level/type (and price) of vehicle…it does seem like a silly omission.
Updated with one more photo showing the puddle welcome lights. Kind of a cool touch. I have the full pack of options in my glove box so I’ll switch them out occasionally.
Glad the car is so liked by others…and myself. White on red is growing on me more and more…kind of unique.
Hi! I have been looking at loaners, and found one in the midwest but at an outrageous price 568/mo 2k down… Would you be able to share a BMW dealer in the midwest keen to work on a good deal?
Well, it has 19’s. I know you can get up to 20’s which, I would imagine, would make the ride a little more rough. However, I don’t feel like it’s an uncomfortable ride whatsoever. And it’s actually very quiet in my opinion. I just got out of a 2017 Tacoma Off-Road and that’s what I’m comparing against, but it’s definitely a smoother/quieter ride than that truck was. The particular one has the M Sport X package, which I believe lowers the car slightly and probably creates a little more sporty ride than one without said package - but so far, I’m loving it. Go take one for a spin, I think you’d be surprised.
