BUY being the key word. They don’t own the car on a lease. The captive does.
I’m still debating on a 530e xDrive with 55,000 sticker at 514/month 2,000 drive offs 36/10k. Completely base model, doesn’t have comfort/keyless is what is throwing me off.
Yes I know it’s for the buyer and not illegal for BMW to keep the money, I don’t need an explanation of it. It’s the purpose of the law that has a loophole and not treated as it should, to entice more consumers to buy electric.
You don’t think that BMW is able to and does offer a lower lease rate because they are keeping the rebate? Doesn’t that result in more e cars on the road?
I am right there with you. I went with base. Only thing that kind of bugs me that’s missing is keyless and XM satellite. However, that package adds about 3-4k more and getting XM enabled will cost 400-500 dollars since it requires a code from XM and then to be programmed by BMW. Does anyone have a recommended person in the bay who can do this XM installation? If this should be on a separate thread, I apologize. I can delete and repost in the correct area.
Does this car have apple carplay? if so there is Sirius xm app that works great and sounds way better than the Sirius xm radio. otherwise just use the app on your phone and Bluetooth. No keyless entry on a $60k car is unacceptable though.
Can you tell me what dealer?
Sure thing; it was BMW of Palm Springs. Experience was great and I really love my car.
Thanks. You don’t say mileage though or MSRP, MF.
36 months/15k per year and $62k MSRP; not sure about the MF.
Good Deal or Not? I’m trying here so any help would be greatly appreciated in advance.
Have a So Cal BMW Dealer who has offered the following. He says go out and find your best deal and he will beat it by $500.00.
2018 530e $61,530 (Dark Graphite, Black Interior, Pem. Pkg 2, Driving Asst. Pkg, 19" Wheels =4600 in Packages & Options)
Sales Price: $54,530 (7000.-- Off or 11.25% below MSRP – But no $4,668 Fed Rebate)
MF 0.00166 - May and same for June.
Residual 58% on 15k Miles
36 mos.
Rebates$500 Lease Credit and $500 OL Code (or not and) $500 USAA 2 or 3 Only (OL Code was for Win Ultimate Trip to Japan which said 1k but he says my redemption code OL only good for $500)
Payments: 658.00 per month + LA County Tax = 721.00 per month
Down Payament: 2437.00 includes all fees - 1st month payment, 925,00 Acquistion fee, DMV and tax on rebates.
Based on what I’ve learned here amount off MSRP seems good. Down payment? Not so good. No Fed Rebate worked into lease or on top of 7k off. NOT SURE WHY? But get free flatbed service too.
Told him about BMW CCA 1k Cash Rebate to me for 3 Year $134.00 Membership. He was not aware of this. I don’t have BMW Loyalty or current lease (another 2k or 2.5K but I know a work around.
Car is equipped pretty nice but I’d take a white interior with Grey Ext and Sport Pkg too.if someone had one.
Thanks in advance. Cheers.
Unless you are already talking to him you may want to try @BMW_Dave very straight forward guy imo.
We like @BMW_Dave, so let’s not do that to him.
Oops, sorry @BMW_Dave. Just don’t pick up you phone at least till Monday if you can
Thanks Jon. Lol Already communicated with him. We have mutual friends.
I recommend @GAngellBMW at East Bay BMW. Never know, it May be worth the 5 drive back if he can get you a solid deal that he got me.
