2018 Audi A4 - Deal or no Deal?

Please let me know what you think…

2018 Audi A4
Premium Plus Package
MSRP 49k
36m lease / 12k miles
$490 due $490 a month.

what was the negotiated sale price? seems like a good deal

Knowing how poorly Audis tend to lease, this looks solid. That said, I’m not as familiar with their A4 leases as I am with their Q5 (which leases terribly).

49k to 41k was the negotiated sales price

The discount looks real good. Audi is offering first month lease payment free, and $750 loyalty bonus if you currently own or lease an Audi, so make sure you are getting those. Also make sure they are not marking up the money factor or including any bogus fees/expenses.

What part of the country is this in? Great price.

I only own a Porsche so I can’t get that discount sadly lol. Was wanting to get an Alfa but the guys numbers suck here. I’m in Dallas.

Dallas Texas baby

Wow best I’ve seen for an A4 since I started searching for a good lease deal around early summer. Ultimately the deals were so laughable that I moved on. Good luck. If you go for it definitely post in the trophy garage. Where did you find it?

Are you getting tax credits, or does you quote include tax?

Yes includes tax credits. Sounds like we have some more room to improve to.

Dallas! What’s the trophy page for? Is it that good of a deal? He sounded like he could get me down even a little more.

Meant to reply to your name

This looks like a great deal. Especially for a 2018.

Well heck if you can shave even more off, by all means go for it. If you search past A4 threads on this forum I think you will find that your monthly price and the discount, again for an A4, look pretty good. Of course you didn’t post the MF and residual but on the face of it, based on the horrendous offers I got from multiple dealers, and this was on 2017’s, yours looks good.

Every deal I posted here on an A4 for feedback was met with the “Audi’s don’t lease well” response, which I found to be true. Ultimately I ended up getting a G80 because my dream of an A4 went up in the smoke of horrible discounts and ridiculously high monthly prices. Dealers did not seem motivated at all.

The trophy garage is a thread here where folks post pics of the cars from their closed deals :sunglasses:.

I’m there right now and they won’t let me take a picture or numbers because they don’t want it getting out. Said don’t worry about residual or MF when I’m getting a premium plus for 490 down 490/mo for 36/12k.

Just got told they’re using .00075 and 55% for their numbers.

Im no hacker but of course the dealer is going to tell the customer “not to worry about it” lol. Still sounds like a good deal to me, but if you want to be sure there is not more on the table, take a minute to plug the numbers into the leasehackr calculator. Its a really good tool and its easy to use. If you get a score of 10 or close, its considered to be a good deal.

You can also check the MF and residual on Edmund’s. Dont let the dealer bully you into not verifying that everything is kosher. Only takes a few minutes more and you will be able to accept your deal with confidence and no regrets. Good luck!

So am I looking for a high or low MF? And a high or low residual? He gave me that info as I mentioned it above… but the calculator has tax/untaxed and post sale rebates that I’m not sure what to put in.

The MF is the interest rate. Should be based on your credit score but dealers can mark it up. To convert it, multiply MF by 2400. Residual depends on whether or not you plan to buy the car at the end of the lease. Kinda sounds like you might do well to consider giving yourself 24 hours to brush up a bit on lease basics. At the same time the monthly price for an A4 sounds pretty good. Did you read the leasing 101 section?

There is also the infamous leasehackr 1% measure. All in a good deal should be monthly payment equal to approximately 1 of the total cost. Of course its highly unlikely you will get a 1% A4 deal. Yours is pretty close.
