I didnt yet I have 2012 mazda 3 that I want to trade in hes giving me 6000 for it witch is about 1000 over blue book value after that he came down to 226 is that sounds about right or he is trying to rip me off
If he is “giving you” 6,000 for your trade and applying it as a downpayment, the payment should go down $6,000/36 months = $166ish/month. I don’t know anything about Acura RDX leases but it looks like he knocked it down a bit more as $399 - $166 = $233/month and you said he offered $226. He really took off about $7/month.
I’d beware of trading in an owned car as a lease downpayment. At the end of the lease, you don’t have a car. Also, if you (knock on wood) total the car after you leave the lot, the insurance will pay for your leased car, not your traded in value, its gone.
What you need to do is get all the details that are required by the LeaseHackr Calculator. These details will show if there is wiggle room anywhere and where it is (Rebates, selling price, etc)
This^^^^ get a check for the trade-in amount and put it in a savings account. Have it autodeduct into checking to help make the lease payment
