2017 Volvo XC90 Inscription Lease Deal

Nobody buys sedans anymore. Dealer by me was advertising 7500 off S90.

Really? :slightly_smiling_face: [20 chars…]

no different models have different MF

You’re talking a 2016 first year of a redesign vehicle vs a 2017 where most of the new model kinks have been identified and at least attempts made to remedy them. Just going off your sources, the 2017 model has 2 recalls, and 24 TSBs (many of which are simply notices to dealerships that read something like this: AN IMPROVED AND MORE ROBUST CCD (CENTER CONSOLE DISPLAY) HAS BEEN INTRODUCED FOR MY 2017. THE NEW DISPLAY IS MORE RESISTANT TO SURFACE SCRATCHES. THE SCREEN PROTECTION FILM IS THEREFORE NOT SUPPLIED WITH THE VEHICLE).

For comparison’s sake, your old posts seem to indicate that you leased a Lexus ES350. The first year of the current generation, 2013, had 38 complaints, 1 recall, and 25 TSBs. The very next year, it went to 23, 1, and 15 and dropped until the mid-cycle refresh was rolled out.

The XC90 is one of the more well-regarded vehicles on the market and leasing a 50-60k SUV from a luxury brand isn’t a shocking concept.

I’m not sure what your argument is with the numbers. It proves my point…first year of a new vehicle almost always has more problems than the subsequent years (how about looking at the info on a 2007 Lexus ES350  and then rationalizing how you still bought one at a later model year). You’re comparing vastly different vehicles in terms of technology and safety features. Add tech, you add the risk of an issue. I doubt anyone is cross shopping your vehicle with the XC90. To each his own. If safety is a top priority in a vehicle, then Volvo is on your short list.

And for the record, I lease a 2017 IS350 F Sport and am in no way knocking your choice in vehicle, simply pointing out that your “feedback” was on a model year that is not what the OP is interested in and wasn’t put into context of the fact that manufacturers work hard to fix first-year hiccups.

Basically I was trying to say:

On sales of half of what Lexus has sold, the number of recalls, TSBs and complaints is double.

Just left a dealership and was not negotiating, just listening. They gave me the following:
MV $59,290
Selling Price - $52,290
Doc Fee - 699
Non tax fees - 485.50
Net Price - 53474.50
Down - $1000
36 month price $699
39 month - $701
MF - .00117
36 month Residual - 58%
39 month Residual - 56%
12K miles

This is with 20’s, the Vision Package, and the Momentum Package.

I am also looking at the Highlander and the Pathfinder only because we are turning in a Nissan. I don’t like the car that much. But I am willing to listen if the deal is there. The Highlander was not that great a deal for the XLE - $513 for the 2017. I prefer the Volvo at that price. But I have not started negotiating. I just went and asked for prices so I thought I would share.
