2017 Volvo S60 - bad deal?

Hi hackers,

I was quoted for a S60 inscription platinum, and it seems way off base. They are asking for $500 per month with $3,500 down, for a 2017 car.

I’ve done my research here, and it sounds like I should be able to get this at ~300/month with zero down. Could you help me understand where I am going wrong?

Thank you!

You need to provide more numbers for the lease. MF? RV?

Where are you located? Texas? That’s a high sales tax.
I feel like a S90 would cost $500 month, not the 60.

Terrible deal on an outgoing model and previous MY. Did you try 2018? Numbers should be better.

Thank you everyone - I’m going to work with another dealer and may go with a Subaru after this experience.

Just to let you know my brother got a 2017 S60 about a year ago with a MSRP of around 39k for 2k out of pocket and $275 a month. It’s totally doable. And just saying as someone who comes from a Volvo family (we have had over 15 in the past 20 years) you are best of trying to get a Volvo over a Subaru. Best seats in the industry.

<400 month is the target for a 60k S90, an s60 should be 100 less but residuals are crap.

I looked into leasing a V60 platinum a couple years ago but the payment was sky high due to a terrible residual.

Said differently, you should be able to buy a lightly used one at a steep discount.
