2017 Volkswagen Passat R-Line - Is this a good deal on a lease?

This is the first time I have considered leasing a car and would like everyone’s opinion on this offer:

Model: 2017 Volkswagen Passat R Line

MSRP: 25,440

Sale Price: 22,750

15K/36months

Down Payment: $2,000 (includes all fees/taxes according to dealer)

Monthly Payment: $266.48

OR

18K/36months

Monthly Cost: $298.57

Do either of these offers seem like a good deal? I do not have the residual numbers yet, but would probably turn in the car at the end of the 3 yr term.

Those don’t lease well due to the low RV and the so so MF. You’d probably be better off buying it and financing if you like the car and for only a little more per month but it’s yours. You get a lot of car for the selling price. You can probably get some more discount on the selling price too.

Why are you talking two mileage terms with the dealer? You either need 15k or you need 18k.
