2017 V90cc lease fun

So I’ve been going back and forth with a dealer in VA. Their internet sales mgr has been great the whole time I cannot say a negative thing about him. Here’s how the initial negotiation went to start.

17’ Volvo V90cc T6 with 2500 miles already on it

MSRP $64,140

Initial dealer discount $8088

$56,052

A-plan $3000

Conquest $5000

Holiday bonus $740

Final cap cost $47,302

RV/MF via edmunds .00022 - 59% @ 30/10k

Internet sales mgr confirmed buy rate would be .00022 or .53 apr

once he passed it all to a different salesmen as he left for the day I got my quotes

Definitely a bummer considering their regional sm was registering my A-plan before I even switch companies in January and letting my fiancee sign since I’m in house closing limbo for 90 days.

What the calculator says*

Looks like a decent deal (below 1%) but considering the fact that it is a demo car maybe you can push for a better (another 1k-2k or so) dealer discount…

I guess I should edit it with the calculator. After confirming the money factor at .00022 the only way they could get that figure is if the money factor is actually .00250

Payment should be roughly $381

It would be a spectacular deal if you can get it for $381!

I definitely agree but even with all the incentives I qualify for and covering my ground confirming the money factor before negotiating I’m 90% sure I’m going to run it to the same results each time haha. After I asked for the details such as doc fee and money factor I couldn’t get back a-hold of them.

Can A-plan be applied to a loaner? @nyclife thinks not. It’s Fairfax Volvo, so be ready for games.

From what they told me it does but after today who knows. I’ll just move on from them and keep looking since theres 8750 in incentives this month.

You plugged the numbers in the LH calc correctly, but here are some things to check:

  • RV adjustment for being a demo with 2500 miles
  • what state are you registering vehicle, LH calc you linked had tax on monthly, VA and MD are sales price tax states (Not sure if you were going to ship, but their calc may be for a VA lease)
  • Msds would help a little

They told me there is no adjustment on 2,500 miles

and I’d be registering in Ohio so they’d be shipping.

I’m skipping msd’s this time around because I’m about to furnish a house again lol.

Regardless they won’t provide me a breakdown so I have to move on anyway.

Don Beyer has 3 2017s and they advertise at 16% off.

Price includes: $6,000 - Loyalty Bonus - SR&WR. Exp. 01/02/2018

I was gonna shoot for Columbus Georgia, they have one for 10k off before incentives.

I’ll probably try them also.

any other dealer suggestions I should try?

Hire @nyclife or @Benedetto and save yourself time

I know there are a few dealers in South Florida that have a decent inventory and they just aren’t moving at all down here. One is telling me I’ll get an amazing deal and trying to push me in that direction instead of the XC90.

They are essentially the same cars (SPA platform, 90 cluster) except for the third row seating in the XC90.

But all the stats show that the XC90 has more cargo space behind the 2nd row than the V90 I thought?

There 2 reasons I think the XC90 have more cargo space, it has a higher roof line so it allows more volume just by the fact its higher. Secondly the back on the V is so much more sloped than the XC so it again has more room just because of the roof, trunk door/angle hight.

I really wished they put these on the long wheelbase like on the new S90.

One is a wagon, the other is an SUV (or a tall wagon). Not the same, similar to Outback and Forester, for example.

By same I meant they use the same chassis, same suspension geometry, same engine(s), same gearbox, same interior. Obviously the XC90 has more interior volume (and the 3rd row seating option) due to higher roofline and slightly longer wheelbase but then the V90 has better handling, breaking, performance, and fuel economy due to lower weight and center of gravity.

Outback and Forester on the other hand are not the same cars as the Outback is based on the Legacy platform while the Forester is based in the previous Impreza platform.

Tried that already. ./20

I don’t think the xc90 would be better for me considering the a-plan discount is nowhere near the v90.
