I was replying to @Docjamal who was asking about JJninja’s deal (I wasn’t sure if JJ was going to reply and I’d already done a quick reverse calc)
I’m still not sure how @JJNINJA got to $3,300 in MSDs. Toyota accepts up to 10 MSD, correct? Rounded up to a multiple of 50, correct? Unless those parameters have changed, it would be either $3k or 3,500
@Anatole and @JJNINJA, can you please PM me a picture of the relevant section of the lease’s first page? Where it shows selling price, gross capcost, MSD, monthly, etc etc? No personal info obviously…
hi this is for South Florida buyers, learned a lot from this forum so just want to update with my purchase 2017 Highlander XLE standard options:
38500 + fees, reg, first month rolled in
zero down
$481+ tax
I think money factor was somewhere around .00165 backed out as it is not on agreement and 67% residual
no where near the Boston deals but FL does not take MSD and this was truly no money down, hacker score of 7. I might have done better if I didn’t want the specific color combination no dealer in stock at the time, good luck!
No search SET on prior posts but Southeast Toyota controls the whole region so not much flexibility even on price, toyoguard came with the car even though I said I didn’t want it. So high residual is on par but invoice is high should be close to 3700 from this forum and rate is higher than average and I have great credit
To give you an idea another dealer offered 2800 down 545 + tax and let me walk out the door and never followed up. He had to order the color combo and he wasn’t interested in making a deal. They all had to order it btw
If you have the time and no trade in order from MA and ship it you will still save 3000 or so I read one guy did it you can ask which dealer willing to ship
None of the Toyota dealers I spoke with in Charlotte, NC are willing to reduce the selling price. Two of them just quoted me lease on MSRP. saying there are no incentives. Looking at other experiences on this forum it sure is not true. There may not be much incentives but surely the dealership can provide its own discount on the vehicle for the lease.
True. All along I have ready (first time lease) that work on the selling price first and then decide lease or finance. But the dealerships are refusing to lease at the same selling price as finance.
I negotiated a XLE AWD for 37,700 and now the dealership says its only finance and not lease. Lease price is 42,000. Thats odd, how does it matter to them?
Sometimes they have customer cash that apply to finance and not lease. Sometimes they have dealer cash that can be the same. They also get kickbacks for finance rates as well as money factor. My guess is that they have some sort of big incentives to the dealer on a purchase so that they would steer you away from a lease.
