2017 Mini Cooper S Clubman

Can someone vet this? The MF seems high, but the MSRP is heavily discounted.

MSRP: $37800
Sell Price: $29900
Discount off MSRP: 21%

36 Months at 12k miles

Acquisition fee: waived (seems weird)
Residual: 61%
MF: .00181 (estimated, they wouldn’t tell me)
Zip: 95014

$312/month with taxes
$1454 drive off including DMV, doc fee and first month

MF is .00151 (20 characters), which dealer is this?

It’s in northern CA. I told the manager .00154 is what I was using to calculate the numbers I had. She said I was wrong, that even perfect credit doesn’t get that and didn’t seem pleased that I was looking into the MF. Also, they claim the $1454 down is only DMV and first month payment. I come up with about $800. Was told the total is “just what they need” and wouldn’t give me a better breakdown of the price. I left but may try to go back.

Discount is very good, but she is bssing you.

Oh I know. It was very obvious. I’m thinking I just deal with the MF but I’m not good with the fact I’m being told the drive off costs are “just what the bank needs to approve the lease” and nobody tells me why it’s $600 more than DMV and first month should be.

Any tips on trying to get them down on MF or actually explaining the breakdown of the drive off costs?

leverage them with another dealer

First dealer I contacted today just flat out told me the money factor. So surprising seeing as how no dealers disclose that information

I was quoted .00151 btw for anyone wondering for August. I hadn’t seen it posted for Mini yet.

Original dealer is now back to me with the following:

MSRP: $37800
Sell Price: $29926
Discount off MSRP: 21%

36 Months at 12k miles

Acquisition fee: waived (seems weird)
Residual: 61%
MF: .00151
Zip: 95014

$296/month with taxes
$700 drive off including DMV, doc fee and first month

This is a reduction from $312/month and $1454 drive off costs.

It does have about 650 miles on it so I think this is considered a demo.

Was told to post this here. Found the car I really wanted at another dealer! I’m pretty happy with the results.

Wonder what the RV/MF is this month since they’re now advertising no payments till 2018 with a sign and drive, these cars really aren’t selling at all.

I am on the same boat as you’re. MINIs aren’t selling well and I am hoping they come out with a good discount this month for CMS All4.

Countryman S? It’s about the same this month as last when we got ours. Lease (customer) cash went up by $1000, but residual went down 2%, equals just about the same monthly.

edit: I’m not sure on MF this month yet, so could be more expensive if the trend is the same and has gone up a little.

For the Clubman, I was getting quotes below $200 with nothing down. Deals to be had on that for sure.

Yes, I am aiming for Countryman S All4. August was 64% based off of 10k miles a year. MF was 0.00190 but I have a feeling the dealer marked it up from 0.00151.

Lease cash $1000 is good. It will add up with my loyalty ($500) + Corporate Fleet ($500) if all can be stacked. I was offered $2000 off + all incentives for custom order in August, so let’s see what they can do in September!

I think MF is the same as BMW which is 0.00152 for this month.

So MF did go up as is the current trend.

Lease cash is $500, with $1000 customer cash, so total $1500 available, at least for the S. You can calculate the RV from the MINI offer’s website and see what incentives are there.

I’m sure as each month goes on, the deals will just keep getting better.

I would definitely try to shoot for around 21% off MSRP. I had two different dealers get there.

Stevens Creek in San Jose, CA has a huge inventory of these(over 30 2017). But, they kept screwing around with me on drive off costs.

21% off MSRP? I am not sure about west coast, but here in east coast, 21% off on MINI is quite impossible unless we are dealing with old designs. My best one was 2014 CMS All4 (MSRP: $37500) and I financed it for 0.9% 72 months with 12% off, and we have 6 MINI dealers within 25 mile radius.

The finance manager cursed at me when I asked for a free rubber floor mat (front only) while signing. I had to purchase the floor mat using his employee discount instead.

The 2018 is quite a big update so now is the time to get discounts on the 2017.

A big update? Seems pretty minimal to me.
