2017 Mercedes Benz C300 Maintenance Question

I am looking into leasing either a 2017 Mercedes Benz CLA 250 or C300 any opinions? Also is maintenance included? Whats the warranty? What do I have to pay for out of pocket as far as maintenance goes such as oil changes, inspections etc?

For a C300, maintenance is $875 a year for the three years of the lease (that’s what I was quoted). You can roll that up with your monthly payments. The factory warranty should be fine for anything else you might need during the 3 year lease, so I would only pay for that maintenance plan.

Residual value of a CLA is now commonly around 59%, while that of a C300 is 62%. Because of that, I would say the C300 is more amenable to good lease deals than the CLA.

Is that a type-o 875 a year as in $2,625 for the life of the lease, or is it a total of 875 for the three years? It should not be much more than a few oil changes and air filter.

I would think that the $875 should be the total. MB only need service (including oil change) every 10k miles so you are basically prepaying for 3 total services. Depending on your area (and the dealers you are dealing with), this can be a savings of a couple hundred bucks but nothing amazing. The reason that I generally do no prepay for services is that I live within 25 miles of 4 MB dealers and you can actually price shop dealers on the service. By prepaying, you lose this opportunity.

Yes, @BenzBuyer is right, those $875 was what I was quoted for the 3 years total. The MB website says it is $975, so it may be that they discounted that price for me.

@skyrme you wrote 875 a year, hence the confusion, not the discounted price.

Oh, my mistake! You’re right and I didn’t even noticed until you pointed it out. I wrote it wrong initially. Apologies for creating confusion.
