I did not get a chance to look up the MF for C-class in May but based on @dotmike24 they marked that up quite a bit too.
So if you want to get a great deal, then you need to get get that MF lowered too.
I didnāt realize that MF changed in different months. Another thing learned. Thank you guys.
MF varies, especially on MB. They have great manufacturerās support on high volume models.AMG not so much.
I forgot, itās already May, the new MF is .00121 for the c300
Guys, may I bother you one more question? How does the 1% rule depend on miles driven per year? If I apply the 1% rule assuming 12k miles/year, what % should I use for the rule if it is 10k miles/year? And what % if 15k miles/year? @BenzBuyer
The 1% āruleā is not something steadfast. It is a simple thing created to give you a ballpark of what to shoot for. The more miles you add to the lease, the harder it is going to be to actually achieve 1% of MSRP. There is also variation in that certain vehicles do not lease particularly well and therefore cannot get to the 1% rule no matter how much you āmassageā the numbers.
I tried to help you understand the areas where the dealership was making money on you by marking things up (acquisition, the maintenance plan, MF). If you focus on getting these things lowered, then you will end up with a better deal then your out of pocket money will drop significantly and you will likely achieve the 1% āruleā (which should not be overly difficult to achieve on a C or E class.
Is it actual LoJack? You could just get the concierge service for 3 years which gives you the remote app capabilities including tracking the car. I think this stuff comes for free on the 2017 models for 3 years.
Maintenance costs on these cars are kinda pricey. I told my dealer if he didnāt discount the prepaid plan, Iād take it to jiffy lube and he could deal with it in 3 years. I also got the first class lease protection. Think this is a must since they will cover damages/wear/tear up to something like 8k. Not that you plan on it but I have a door ding, some rock chips, curb rash, etc etc. This also means it covers tires on lease turn in which will definitely need to be replaced by 3 years. I would get the first class lease protection over the LoJack for sure.
If itās any help, I got my 2015 c300 $46k msrp $2000 down for $420/month all in.
Going back to an earlier post in the thread, the maintenance plan is residualized which typically ends up costing less than paying at time of service. Also, since when are taxes required up front in NY? We used to roll everything into the lease when we lived in NY. Usually just first payment due.
Yes, it is actual LoJack. I did not know about the concierge service. Thanks for letting me know. And tons of thanks for sharing your numbers. It is really helpful.
I just looked at the Leasehackr lease calculator and it says in the bottom that tax is levied on the total lease payment upfront in NY. But itās good to know that it can be rolled into the lease. Thanks!
