OK, so there is a pretty good population of 17’ E3004matic lessees here.

Question is, does your car have a differential noise at light to no throttle at 40MPH and higher? Loud enough you can hear it above the radio.

  • No, my car is perfect and has no diff noise.
  • Yes, some diff noise, however, it’s not really that loud.
  • Yes, diff is loud, can hear it above the radio while driving.
  • No, I don’t lease an E3004matic.

Did you just take it to the dealer and voice your concern? Not sure what the purpose of polling the site is if you’re having an issue with your car.

Yes, been to the dealer a couple mo’ ago, they told me it’s normal (which it’s not) and I figured I would ask, because of the population of people here who have leased loaners. Curious if anyone else has noisy diff. The car is going back Thursday for it’s first service and to look at diff again.

Assuming anyone participates in the survey… So if 0 of the 10 maybe 15 peeps say no, then I know maybe mine is unique.

You might as well remove “No, I don’t own one.” You’re going to get 100 people reply to that, and 5 people actually answer yes/no to your concern.
