This is my first time to lease a car. Is it good? Thank you!!
I was looking at a similar car today. The problem with the CX-5 right now is that it is a new model year and the MSRP hasn’t been significantly discounted yet. The money factor seems to be good but the discount off of the price is almost non existent. My personal opinion would be that if you really like the car then do the deal. Just understand that if you wait for the 2018 model to hit the dealerships the 2017 model should get a better discount. For example dealers in my area (Hampton Roads VA) offer about 12% off MSRP on a similar priced Mazda 6 without even asking. If these discounts are offered on the CX-5 in the future the leases will be a lot better. A good rule of thumb is a really good lease will have a total monthly cost of 1% of the MSRP per month or less. This if not possible on every car but it is an easy way to spot a great deal. Hope this helps!
I stoped at Staten Island Mazda a week ago and salesman offered 2k off msrp. Lease in mid 300s for the gt version. So might have a bit more room there.
Thought I’d share: Chase Bank emailed a $500 coupon on the 2017 Mazda CX5. It’s tied to my address so I can’t share it with you, unfortunately.
Mazda will provide $500 toward the purchase or lease of the All-New 2017 CX-5 Mazda vehicle through MCS. New loans and leases subject to credit approval by Chase. Not all products are available in all states. Additional terms and conditions apply. Preferred Chase Customer Offer is from Mazda. This Preferred Chase Customer Offer can be combined with Mazda’s other public offers (visit MazdaUSA.com for details), but cannot be combined with any other private incentives. Offer expires September 30, 2017.
In my opinion the new CX-5 is worth what they are asking for it. It is a stand out when compared to other vehicles in its class. Again though, if you are able to wait a couple more months you will almost certainly save yourself some money.
