I never like to discourage anyone from any vehicle, but make sure that you do your research on the Discovery Sport. I have a friend who works for a LR/Jaguar dealership and he told me to avoid this particular SUV. Obviously to each their own.
Discovery has always been an unreliable POS. On a lease no big deal because of the warranty but definitely not a vehicle you want to own out of warranty.
I’ve pinned every dealership in the tristate area against each other so we’ll see what i come up with. and since it’s a lease, i don’t care about longevity
Land Rover Mainline appeared to have some good starting points, did you try playing them off some dealers in the NYC area? Lots of cars on the lots and it wouldn’t be far to drive from Philly to pick up?
Were they your best offer? It seems like SUV’s are a tough get right now. It doesn’t even seem that Land Rover is offering support for leftover 2016 HSE’s to lease.
yea, by far. no one can offer a better price which is hard to believe given all the stock they’re holding and that the 2018 will have be available with stronger engines. This usually means some mild upgrades as well
I looked back through Edmunds and it seems that until May the M/F for 2016 was still available , and it was a lot better then it is now for the 17’s. Once May hit Edmunds didn’t list M/F for the 16’s. Point being it might be best to wait it out a little on the 17’s to see what happens.
I own a 2016 DS and love the vehicle … not sure what above people are posting about, please enlighten me, since I purchased the car and I am from SoCal.
Also, I would say you got a decent discount , when I was in market, no dealer in SoCal would budge on even 2k discount. things might have changed now.
Also since @LeaseIt is from tristate, when I was looking for deals, http://www.landroverparamus.com/new-vehicles/new-vehicle-specials/ these guys had the best lease deals, and no one in SoCal would match them
All I was saying is, I noticed that M/F on the 16’s appeared to be much better than on the 17’s in March and April, now it appears in May that Land Rover is not offering leases on the 16 leftover Range’s. I noticed a few heavily discounted at one dealer (10.5% off MSRP), I assume because they are now “unleasable”, some please correct me if I am wrong…on another note, Paramus has the best deals right now too, At least on the Range Rover’s. Did you consider having them ship from Jersey to SoCal?
Several years ago I purchased an SUV in WA and it was pretty clear that GM only built one config that was indeed 50-state rated. The dealer was able to order the sticker somehow and handed it to me. He didn’t want the liability of actually sticking it on
I was able to register the vehicle without any problems.
You can call CA DMV and give them a VIN and they can tell you if you can register it or not. The main issue is if you are getting a CA title. If you are registering but keeping title in another state it’s irrevelant.
Guys. I got. Loaded hse luxury. Msrp was over $57,000. Got it for under $45,000. I think it was a steal. I couldn’t lease it but financed it since I got such a good dea.
