Monthly Lease: $429 including taxes
Hey guys reached out to local jag dealer and this is what we came up with after some negotiation. Not sure how he worked it out to be $429 a month after taxes at this price. But is in the 1% rule, I think? Let me know what you think and if I should sign. Thanks!
NY, but dealer is in NJ. Drive off also includes Acquisition Fee( will add to main post) and im paying all taxes up front as per NY state law. What else can I ask for there not really discounting the MSRP much…
So after playing around with the lease calculator I figured I must have misheard the dealer and the price off msrp is a bit better then i posted before. Now edited the original post to indicate correct sale price. Which is 9% off msrp. What do you guys think? Thanks for all the help!
Didn’t know that but still rather pay them upfront. What do you think of the deal in general? I’m going to ask for a bit more of the MSRP and see if I can get this done for the parents in the next week or two. Thanks!
I figure I’ll ask for around 2k off and close. I’m no pro at this lol but super glad i found this site, guys like you and @Benedetto really are awesome and give so much great advice. Seriously big thank you to both of you!
I got 19.1% off an XF 35t last month. And the deals are even better this month. Don’t close on anything less than 15% off. Jaguar is really dealing right now, so pit them against each other. At a minimum, an XE payment should begin with a 3, with minimal drive off.
Took a look at a XE 35t Prestige for my wife. Dealers in Ohio just look at you like you’re nuts when requesting a decent percentage off sticker. Tried to reach out to another region of the country. Was told since Jaguar doesn’t have their own financing, the banks would not allow them to lease out of their region. Strange if true.
Unfortunately you have to reach out to multiple dealers and shop around. I’m not knowledgeable like some of the members here but as a common sense thing if one dealer isn’t willing to play ball just reach out to others. Tell them what you’re looking for and wait for a counter offer and then try to keep your price as close to the original offer you made. Tell them your’e out of state but willing to pick up the car if everything can be agreed on prior to coming into the dealer. Best of luck!
I get the same response from dealers here. We only have two Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar, Range Rover, Lexus etc. in the entire state. They act like I’m crazy unless I pay their full asking price. I guess most people do. That’s my problem with buying premium brands because there is no local competition. I’m not asking for the best price ever but I’m not going to purchase at 4% off sticker and marked up MF. They act like they’re doing me a favor. And none of them will give a transparent quote no matter how many times I ask. I have to piece them together and always find big discrepancies from the lease calculator.
$3443 for registration, doc and aq. fee doesn’t sound right. Unless your registration is like $1800 or something. In which case you need to move to another state ASAP
I was told the same thing about not leasing outside their geographical area. When I tried to tell the one Jag dealer here in upstate NY that a dealer in NH was offering a better price they told me I wouldn’t be able to lease from them anyway. When I called the NH dealer they said the same thing, they refused to even talk to me about a lease since I was outside their area.
