2017 Ford Edge Sport in MN, IL, IA AND WI - Target price

Hello wise hackers!

I’m hoping to lease a Ford Edge Sport 2017.

What kinda discount are people getting off the MSRP at this point when the 2018s are about to hit the lot?

I live in Minneapolis but I’m open to getting it from MN, WI, IA or IL. Is 15% off MSRP a reasonable target to shoot for? I know there is one way to find out(by contacting the dealers) but this is me trying to arm myself as best as I can with numbers from the real world.

Thanks in advance for any insights offered.

Been on the hunt for a lease on one of these over the last week from r my mom. The “Sport” models don’t seem to be as discounted as the lower trims. But have seen close to 15% off. Expect a RV of 54% on a AWD, and I think 1% lower for FWD on. 36/12, 1.0% MF, $2000 lease cash. Best deal I was able to work out so far is $529, sign and drive on a $47,500 Sport. Would prefer the Lincoln MKX Version similarly equipped, nearly the same MSRP, but they just don’t seem to lease as well.

I have a 2015 Ford Edge, SEL AWD, loaded with six cylinder, trailer hitch…msrp 41K…395 month, zero drive off, 36/10.5., includes 9% la tax.

However, these cars depreciate really fast and are available in the low 20s used with very low miles…I would go that route if I had to do it again.

Love the car, fwiw!

Might need to remain open to other brands.

I am looking at Nissan Murano as well. But I dont really like any other SUV in this category.

Just a quick update if your interested. An hour ago we signed a deal for Mom on '17 Edge AWD SEL in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. She originally wanted a Sport or Titanium, but a well equipped SEL saved her almost a hundred a month. She really only had to give up the better stereo, cooled seats, ambient lighting, glass roof (which she didn’t want anyway), and few other small changes. All fluff that she wouldn’t use anyway. As said above, these things don’t really lease all that well. After talking with numerous dealers for over 2-weeks, and trying to hammer out numerous deals, the best offer won, $2434 Drive Off (included First Payment), and $418.66 a Month, 36/12 (41,785 Msrp). They also forgave a few over miles when we handed in her current lease. Probably could have done better, but was sick of dealing with it, and wanted the car for a Road Trip tomorrow. I can tell you this, next time I will be using one of the brokers who on this site. The attitude I got from most dealers was surprising, like pulling teeth to get any specific details/numbers, and most wouldn’t negotiate at all from their initial offer. almost like they didn’t want to sell me the car. I think they are just use to all these Rich Farmers dropping in and paying whatever number they come up with, around my area anyway.

I have a 2015 (current gen) Sport with all options available at the time of purchase ($48,500 MSRP). Got $8k off MSRP and pay $428 a month (36/12). Good deals on these can be found at the right time of the year when Ford offers incentives.
