I know that’s why your sell and spin looked so good. I just stick with the numbers. I wont always be the cheapest but I’ll never kink the numbers or hide the truth. Numbers don’t lie. That’s why I love math.
You could have the best math in the world doesn’t mean you’re in the business of making sensible deals from the customers perspective. Sorry brotha $362 a month for a 40k msrp truck blows. Better off buying with what you’re putting on the table
this isn’t rocket science.
customer A pays 362 for 38,050 truck
customer B pays 378 for 40,395 truck
customer B pays 16 more per month for 2345 more truck
customer B get still gets 1769 more in truck for their money…
silverado leases are like never this cheap. that’s why we put it out there.
The Higher the MSRP the better the deal. I have a $41,220 truck left with the bonus tag.
By your numbers the $825 should equal to 22.91 a month difference.
But it will actually only be $11.14 more.
So Customer C pays 389 for a $41,220 truck for the best savings.
By paying 389.90 more during the term than Customer B you get $825 more in truck.
(11.14 x 35 payments = 389.90)
Great if your budget is 390 a month but not so much if it is 350 a month.
Maybe. Depending on your needs. I have some customers that have me increase the payments on their lease by inflating the mileage lowering the residual to maximize their business write offs and lower the buy out to increase their possible trade equity at the end of their term.
Or if your APR is higher than a 2.38 on a finance it will be cheaper to lease and buy out than to finance through out the term. The lease will also let you spend less in tax than a finance, unless you buy out at then end. then you pay the same.
The lease just adds some added protection you don’t get when financing. Like if you were to get into an accident on your second year but you don’t total out. On a finance that vehicle pay off is your responsibility no matter what the car is worth. If you go to trade it in after 3 1/2 years the value will be much less than a car that hasn’t been into an accident. You’ll probably have a lot of negative equity. If the vehicle was leased you get to walk away at the end of the 3 year term and let the bank take the loss on the vehicle.
@John I think the sales tax is 7.75%
@chevysalesgirl thank you for weighing in and competing against offers.
All in all guys- this is a great deal for those who are in the market for a truck- fits the 1% rule and it’s surprising not only because it’s a truck which generally puts it in the “larger cars lease numbers are like crap” – but also “Americans and Japanese lease numbers are like crap.”
For all the rest who can still hold off- deals like this further supports the argument that dealerships are finding themselves in a bit of a struggle. In addition- the real deals could be happening during the annual end of year sale. Deals are on the way!
SMH. the one i quoted isn’t bonus tagged either so your argument is irrelevant… nice try though.
I just did some googling and it looks like all the SoCal Chevy dealers are trying to get rid of their trucks.
See photo attached.
MSRP $39,480.36
$249 month with $2679 due at signing (effectively $323.50 a month + tax) approx $348 if you’re in the OC area.
So if it was me - I’ll bite if it was $249 a month and pay whatever the govt fee+cost is due at signing which should be a couple hundred bucks (dealer also has to eat Acq fee)
yeah but it ends tomorrow sooooooooo only memorial day chaos
Looks like now is a great time to get a Silverado. Trucks tend to not lease well – what I’m seeing in this thread seems pretty compelling!
Those prices are much higher than what I was seeing locally last month on bonus tag all stars 4x4 v8. More in line with what I was seeing for the Z71 packages. Too expensive, I didn’t get one. New body style next year, I would expect them to be giving these away by then
You’re quote specifically says “comp lease and bonus tag” right underneath. John is right, he may not have been offering the better deal by a few hundred dollars but his math is solid. It is not an apples to apples jump in MSRP and payment on a lease. we all should be “SMH” at your attempt to hi-jack his thread and then justify your $16 more bump by using car salesman (woman) math. he seemed to be pretty upfront about his quote and you were just trying to make him look bad.
If you have a better offer, just show your better offer or ask people to PM you for a better offer. It is always easy to undercut once you have seen the competition’s deal (i.e. he could do the same to one of your vague quotes on here).
Anyone know where to get a deal like this in ga?
Hello all,
Don’t want to hijack the thread, but here goes, Just signed a lease on a 2017 Silverado Double Cab 1500 4WD Custom. $41,540. $264/mo and $264 due at signing. Everything was rolled in. Rebates were $8750. ($3000 conquest lease, $3000 CCR, $500 Farm Bureau, $1500 Bonus Tag, 3X$250 GM coupons). I don’t know what GM Financial Coupons are but the dealer hooked it up. Don’t need the truck since its my 3rd vehicle and I drive less than 10K/year total but it is always cool if I ever want to help friends move lol.
24 months/10K miles. 65% Residual, MF 0.0009XX
in Illinois.
Which Chevy dealer in Illinois?
Currie Chevy, however they only had 1 double cab with a tag. That is needed to replicate.
