Other details

  • Helping one of our staff get into his first nice car, currently driving an old Elantra (owned)
  • Budget is $300/mo (including tax) with $0 down if possible (we will most likely pick up this tab)
  • Aside from this forum and rentals, I do not know too much about Camaro (or Chevy for that matter) except that they do not lease very well
  • Credit score is not so good ~650
  • Has $2k for MSDs (we can help him with this too)
  • Shaver Dodge is a little far (Thousand Oaks), any dealers around central OC (Anaheim Stadium, Honda Center)

What should be the target discounts (can’t do any of the $3k Conquest stuff)

You’re right they don’t lease too well:

36/12K: 56% RV, .00119 MF
No lease cash

Targeted incentives: $3,000 Asian lease conquest, $2,000 Mustang conquest cash. $1,500 lease loyalty, or $500 competitive lease, plus $500 Farm Bureau

Rydell is advertising $2,700 off MSRP, before incentives, right off the bat. Maybe target $3,500 or so off MSRP?

GM Financial doesn’t offer MSDs.

So I guess we are going to give Simpson Chevrolet a shot at this 1LT. I doubt we can get the $229/mo ($1,700 down) with no conquest and/or loyalty and also 650 credit score. This is going to hurt :frowning:

So this is what an offer looks like if you don’t have any incentives. I don’t think this is taking into account the non-Tier 1 credit yet. Per the other SoCal Chevy dealers: Simpson Chevrolet in Irvine, CA

:frowning: ouch

Help @willwar14

Other makes/models options are also not good for leases

  • Chevy Camaro
  • Ford Mustang
  • Dodge Charger or challenger

His dad (that he recently moved out from) has 2 Kia Optima leases.

Maybe any new bonus tags?

Worth it to move to 39 months? I think the residual only drops 1%, and spread out over 3 months it would drop that payment $20.

Edit:

Didn’t look at your budget, nevermind.

We are going to try to see if the Infiniti Q50 3.0 will have a lower payment …

This thread explains exactly why I ended up with a Hellcat. I love the Camaro but a $50k camaro is $700 a month.

I was looking to a lease for me as well, dealer negotiatied a $311/mo and $0 down. But I waslooking for a $270 and $500… Should I take the deal or should I press harder?

You need to provide a lot more info for anyone to be able to dissect the deal.

MSRP
Selling price
Term of your lease (months)
Mileage allotment (7.5K/10K/12K/15K…etc)

Camaro’s however, are not the best car to lease to begin with, hence this topic.

LT, 12k miles, 36 months, 4-cyl, $27,000-ish is the sellin price

Do you recommed financing it then?

I did, but its up to you. I bought the car I always wanted and expect to keep it a long time. (2017 1SS)

On the surface, if you were comfortable at 270/month with 500 down, and they are at 311/month with 0 down, they are only about $27/month over your price.

Not saying its a good deal, but wanted to throw it out there.

27k is what the 1lt i4 retails for, you need to know what your selling price is after negotiation and incentives.

Drive one for a week. The sight out of the car is horrible.

While what you post is indeed true it doesn’t change anyone’s mind.

The problem is your Camry which has better visibility just doesn’t corner so well, or accelerate briskly.

True. But the drive is awesome.
