Great payment… I’m guessing you got the Drive Clean Rebate here? Does that cause any problems on the transfer on your end? Just curious… how does the Bolt handle those Rochester winters from a range perspective?

The only requirement I’ve seen on the NYSERDA website for the drive clean rebate is that the original lease term must be at least 36 months. As far as I can tell, it shouldn’t cause me any problems.

The Bolt loses some range in very cold weather, just like any EV. It probably loses 1/4 of its range at worst. I’ve never even come close to having a problem range-wise. I actually quite like it in the winter even with the range reduction. Being able to just plug it in at home in the garage is so much nicer than standing out in the cold and snow to pump gas.

is the105.75 including ny tax? or you have to add another 8.875% on top of the 105.75?

Taxes were all paid up front. So there is nothing in addition to the 105.75.

I know…to pay $9 more per month is unacceptable!

After checking into the Drive Clean Rebate a bit further, it turns out that NY would require a prorated amount to be paid back if the lease is transferred. In addition to requiring a 36 month lease term, the car also has to stay registered at the DMV for 36 months with the one who purchased it. By NYSERDA’s definition, the individual leasing the car is considered the ‘vehicle purchaser’, which is quite opposite of how the federal tax credit works, where the leasing company is considered the vehicle purchaser.

It’s such a low cost lease that it probably makes more sense for me to just keep the car until the lease end. Apologies to those who had expressed interest, and thanks @ElectricEliminator for prompting me to double check on how it works.
