I wish I had some amazing deal to tell you about but I don’t. I’m hoping someone has some insight into a Bolt lease in TX and what currently could be expected from local dealers.
Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine via email has quoted supplier price of $42,235 on the original $43,965 MSRP with total rebates of $2750 including lease conquest. We have to pay sales tax on the entire MSRP in this state (stupid) which I planned roll into the lease (or at least part of it). Without offering ANY OTHER NUMBERS, they say $585 per month and first month payment due at signing.
PLEASE tell me someone has gotten a better deal than that in TX and what incentives, etc I should be pushing for.
Hey Andy. Are you leasing currently? Are you eligible for supplier pricing? What zip code will you be titling the car in? Have you owned a chevy recently?
I have BMW i3 lease that is up in December. I’m a teacher so Classic offered something they called “supplier” pricing. Have never owned a chevy and would be titling the car in Arlington. 76013
I’m looking to stay under $400 (better if possible now that we have a new mouth to feed). It seems most people in other states are getting a sales price anywhere between 7-10% off MSRP.
I recently lease a Premier with MSRP of $44,440. My drive off is $2,525 and the dealer took care my final payment of $580 for my current lease. Dealer discount is $6,000. My lease term is 10K/Yr, 36 months. My monthly payment including tax is $263.00.
$585 is way too high. Add another $300, you can have a Tesla Model S.
Maybe. There might be markets where competition has driven down prices on certain models considerably below national averages. We have 500 Tahoe and suburban on the ground, and zero bolts. That doesn’t mean I’m more willing to lose money on a Tahoe and make a ton on a bolt deal. Cost is cost at the end of the day. Mac Haik is the leading volume dealer in the Houston market, which is crowded by 15 other chevy dealers and hundreds of competing manufacture dealers. There is supply and there is demand, but we are competing for every customer we can make happy in a mutually beneficial relationship. That fact is independent of thos two factors. At least for me individually.
You want streets named after you in this business, as a dealer and a client. And you don’t want them to be named ‘One Way’ or ‘Dead End’.
Long story short find the best deal in the most efficient means necessary.
Randy thanks for your response on this forum. I got the same terrible quote from Classic up here in Grapevine (and a few others) and I’m hoping that some terms change here in September now that inventories are starting to build. It looks like dealers in the DFW area were more than happy to pocket the regional CCR, as it was not offered in any of the local deals. I would love to have a Bolt, but certainly not at luxury sedan price levels.
Whether it worth the trouble to lease from an out of state dealer depends on a lot of factors. It definitely will involve DMV related fees. My personal experience was that I need to pay the registration fee and the tax portion of my monthly payment changed. I think Andy will need to figure out if the savings from leasing out of state worth the trouble. It’s only my opinion that his quote is way too high.
The quote is definitely way to high! We can all agree on that!
Since the original post I’ve heard from Graff Chevrolet in the DFW area with a monthly payment quote of $475 (rolling all tax into the payment) with just first month OTD. Still way too high compared to what people are getting in other states. He provided none of his numbers (nor has Classic Chevrolet despite me asking) so maybe there’s still room to negotiate.
I really don’t want to give up on my BEV dreams. I got in on the BMW i3 early and would like to stick with electric but I find myself perusing super low lease rates for spec’d out Honda Civics just in case I can’t make this work. Ugh!
The dealer will be looking at a steep loss to get under 400$ (north of 3000).
If they are able to secure “coupons” for your deal, then you may be able to get there. PS, the max contribution via “coupons” is 2k on a GM Financial Lease.
