I have a Cadillac XT5 with the Platinum trim level located in South Florida (Hollywood). As it is with GM Financial, it does need to be taken by someone located in Florida. The car is in great shape, I am currently consolidating vehicles and have less of a use for my XT5 since I am doing my commuting with a more efficient car. It still carries the manufactures warranty, and service plan for routine maintenance. The costs to transfer by GM Financial will be $595.
For those not familiar with the Platinum trim level, it differs from other XT5 trims where it has exclusive options only on Platinum which make it quite stunning when compared to competitors or other trim levels.
Premium 20" chrome wheels
Chrome inserts on front/rear of car
Heads up display
Full customizable color LCD gauge cluster
Rear view camera mirror
360 Camera view
Wood inlays in dash/steering wheel
Upgraded headliner
In addition Platinum trim features, the XT5 has other great notable features:
LED running and adaptive headlights
Parking sensors
Large pano sunroof
Blind spot monitoring
Heated mirrors, steering wheel and seats front/back
Vented front seats
Power seats, mirrors including presets for easy entry and multiple drivers
With the most simple search of “XT5 Lease” on LH search bar, it’s obvious you’re going to have trouble unloading this lease without offering atleast $3-4K incentives.
Also I’d suggest you post MSRP, selling price, residual, and pre tax monthly payments as well as copy of contract with personal info redacted before the admin take it down!
Hi Parth, thanks for the feedback. I updated with a few of your suggestions. I didn’t see other posts with the lease agreement uploaded nor did guidelines mention it.
Yes doing a search for XT5 will yield a wide variety of lower payments. However those are on base or luxury trim levels, not on a platinum. Platinum payments are either around mine or upwards of $900+.
From what I can gather, the total price for buyout as of today would be $749 x 17= 12,733 + 31,747 for a total of $44,480
From CarGurus, I see cars with your trim and less miles selling for anywhere from $42-45k
You may have better luck trying to sell this car because $749 is a high payment. Granted this is a loaded car and similar deals may not be available, but it’s not like XT5 is a high demand car. That’s why I said if you offered it for sale at $42-43k, you may be able to unload it and you would bite the couple thousand loss.
