I leased a new 2017 BMW X6 sdrive on July 22, 2017.
But due to some personal reasons, I have to let it go.
The MSRP of car is $73k and I signed up for below packages:
• BMW Wear and Tear
• BMW Maintenance package
• BMW tire protection
I put down a down payment of $6200 for 10k/36 months.
The total miles allowed are 32424 and current mileage is 4k(the car had 2400 miles on it)
Monthly payment - $767.67(tax included)
MF: 0.00151
Residual: 58%
Need to apply through official BMW Finical
$500 application fee directly pay to BMW, if you fail you will get $400 back (You’ll need this step regardless of new lease or lease takeover)
I am not expecting any money down.
The car is in San Diego California.
Also some one scratched off the car rear bumper-(very minimal) while it was parked. One neednt take care of this, as its cover under wear and tear.
Nice car- but you shouldn’t be expecting someone to put down $1,000 instead- I honestly think you should be offering a $1,000 incentive for someone to take the car.
I would have loved to get it but the monthly payment is nearly $100 more than what I am paying on my current X6 and without any incentives it makes no sense for me to jump on it. Maybe for someone else.
Agreed this is an example of bad lease: car had 2400 miles on it which is mean it been on the lot for long time and was a loaner or executive ride-- should get a big discount. $6200 down payment?! Should had use those money to lower the mf. 72k car and paying almost $800/mo Dealer made at least 10k out of this deal from the info op provided.
First of, Thank you all for guidance and response.
I did check online and there’s no such clause where lease cannot be transferred in first 6 months. I did remember checking one lease on Swapalease where it was less than 6 months.
Still I will call BMWFS tomorrow and confirm.
Secondly, not to sound rude, but at best I can let some one transfer car without putting any money down.
I have updated the description in case any one’s interested.
You might have better luck posting on one of the two largest lease swapping sites, as that audience might be more inclined to look favorably upon your price.
I think the audience on this forum are mostly folks that would want to see a much more aggressive price point, given that a new comparable can be had for significantly less than your offer of a used vehicle with some (minor) damage.
