I added mechanical breakdown protection for $10 extra a month for a total of $585. The suv has 4,827 miles. Texas has all taxes upfront so other states will be cheaper and if you have tier 1 credit the MF would be .00151. First time post, long time reader. Thank you.

Why would you add mechanical breakdown protection? The car is covered by the factory warranty for the entire lease term.

It’s an extended maintenance package that covers brakes, lost keys and etc. The line item is misleading. Also, with the extra mileage at lease end I would be looking at a brake job around 40,000 miles and it’s cheaper then paying for a bmw brake job.

Yeah that is misleading. Ok nice deal.

Thank you. I just realized I forgot to ask for a tax credit.

Did you get a tax credit? I’m also in Texas and have been reading about occasional tax credit incentives but can’t find much info. Trying to figure this out since that situation is not good here!

The tax credits I’ve been offered at BMW have been only if I prepay the whole lease. Thats my experience so far, but yeah those Texas taxes screw us over

I didn’t receive a tax credit. The only tax credit that I have seen consistently given is on an Infiniti Q50.
