This is very helpful. I am eyeing to lease a BMW or MB in the Boston area. I will try to get a few quotes. Any suggestions on dealers in MA?

Thanks vhooloo. I will check them out
For anyone looking for a deal on any car, the best advice is to find the car you want, reverse calculate the invoice price* and then, based on research, work out the sale price (i.e. $2k below invoice can be done on an X3 but on an M3 you would be lucky to get $1000 above invoice). Then apply the rebates on the calculator, plus anything else like MSDās and paying the Acc fee upfront and get your monthly payment.
If you are happy with that monthly then call the dealer and say, if you can do this deal then I will buy the car. Be ready to purchase, if they are willing to do you a deal then you need to respect their time and effort. Obviously if they canāt match your numbers then feel free to walk away.
*for BMW have a google, there is a pretty easy equation. Took me 10 mins to build an Excel sheet. Happy to share if anyone wants it. (I might do a post on how to get a deal on a BMW)
Thanks Ed. I would appreciate if you shared the excel with me. I am looking to replace my Passat TDI so I am hoping to get an MB or BMW SUV by the end of this month. My TDI goes back to VW at the end of January but I do not want to miss out on the year end deals.
So Iām still trying to work this deal, and a few dealerships told me that thereās a $1k xDrive incentive on top of the $1k holiday incentive. I guess thatās why Iāve been getting even worse offers for the sDrive models. Anyone know any details about that?
If there is 2k incentive then the 6.6k discount is really only 4.6 k. So you need to ask them for more discount before incentives. I think the sweet spot for this deal is 375.
Iām not sure, having run the numbers, he is only getting to that level with a $1019 cap cost reduction. They have gone pretty big with the discount. Not sure about the xdrive rebate.
Exactly. If there is 1k hidden rebate, use that for cap reduction and bingo 375. At 375 you should sign on the spot.
But even with a cap reduction he is only at $399 (Should be $391 according to the calculator). The 1k rebate would either just replace the cap cost reduction or already be in there. Either way, I donāt know how you make $375 unless you mean keep the Cap cost reduction which is what @ng0 is trying to get rid of.
p.s. The forum software is telling me to shut up. If anyone thinks I post too much please just tell me to shut up and I apologize in advance!
Get an extra 1k out of dealer before incentives (so dealer discount 5.6k) and apply the 1k hidden xdrive rebate and 1k holiday duscount. So total cap refiction of 7.6k resulting in gross cap of 42k. Easier said than done but a good target for nego.
I donāt think the math works based on $2k below invoice but I guess it does not hurt to try.
Hahahaha. I definitely donāt think you talk too much! This conversation is extremely helpful! I guess Iāll text this guy and see if he really is factoring in an extra rebate.
Actually your deal is 370 before taxes. So just ask him to waive the cash down and you will sign. Call him. 370 [before ttl]with 0 down is a good deal imho
I tried. He said theyāre already āall inā
Did any of the LA dealers come close?
So far Iāve got ahold of a few and they both gave me way inflated prices and didnāt really want to budge. Only useful info I really got was about the 1k xdrive incentive. Doesnāt really help me though if they arenāt willing to come lower than 45k
FYI, the last day of the year for BMW dealers is the 3rd Jan
@Ed_Churchward Iām also looking for a well-equipped X3 in So Cal. Do you mind sharing the dealer info with me? Thanks for posting your deal!
