2017 BMW i8 lease

Porsche deal fell through someone came in and bought the car in cash before I was able to close the deal. So, instead of getting sad, I’m going to treat myself by leasing an i8. I found a 2017 near me that is beautiful. I need help from you guys though.

This was his initial offer:

-Price: $148,895
-Your Special Internet Price: $122,995

*total discount of: $25,900

24 month lease/ 10k miles a year:
-with $1,000 down, your monthly payments= $1,521 (tax included)

36 month lease/ 10k miles a year:
-with $1,000 down, your monthly payments= $1,685 (tax included)

How much more off MSRP should I ask? I’m going to use my gf’s college discount. Are there any other incentives I could add on?

Lastly, can anyone tell me what the residual and MF for 2017 i8 is this month and if he’s using fair values?

Thanks in advance!

Tomorrow BMW will probably have new residuals/discounts as new programming will come out. Looking at your past threads, I think making your mind up on a price should be your first goal. You’ve looked at Jags at ~600, Porsches at ~900, now BMWs at ~1600.

These are all extremely different cars and prices. Maybe you are just lease hunting for fun??

To be honest, I was contemplating get a Porsche Box S for my gf and Jaguar F Type Coupe S for me. But my gf doesn’t want a new car, so I figured I’d just get an i8 now since my other deals fell through. So, I guess just wait till tomorrow to respond? Would the dealership have the numbers already possibly?

Search the forum for other i8’s that have been shared, the leases are generally not good now that you can’t apply MSDs. I would double check with your dealer that lease support for 2017 models will continue into April, today could very well be your final window.

Today is the last day!!

Do you know what the residual and MF are? I’m about to contact dealer

Base MF is .00156 for all BMWs.

I saw one person put last month for i8 residual was 67% for 24/10. Can I assume that’s correct since April is not valid as today is the last day

24 Months 15k - 61%
24 Months 12k - 63%
24 Months 10k - 64%

These are set by BMW and won’t change dealer to dealer.

What if i do 24/5k what would residual be 67%??

I only need this car for a few days of the week as I work from home.

There’s no such thing.

7.5k?

I could sworn 5k was an option

Anyhow, I’m sending him these numbers tell me what you think:

7.5k is only available on 7 Series.

Anyone have an opinion on my numbers in the previous message? I feel like I could do better but oh well. Those will be my final numbers to them

Also, anyone know how stringent BMW financial is when it comes to “You have a debt-to-income ratio of 20% or less.” for graduate program?
My gf tends to have high balances month-to-month because of her business and it would be too late to pay in full right now since lease for 17’s ends today

I think you check @Swapalease.com for better deals you can inherit. Unless you are going to take your gf down for a credit pull and spend the afternoon working these details out you are likely not closing.

How easy is swapalease?

Might be regional. Leased my 530 in Nov and did 7.5/year. I’m in South Florida.

Then you are 100% correct.

BMW lease transfer is about as efficient as it gets. If you find a car on swapalease then you contact the other party and if u agree to the terms he initiates the lease transfer through BMW website and if you’re diligent and willing to pay overnight shipping you can get it done in a week.

If anyone wants an i8 let me know. I have a lot of offers in similar range from a bunch of dealers in CA.

A few sign and drive sub $1,500

Seems like quite a few dealers are desperate at the moment to get rid of inventory. If you have loyalty + graduation/military you could probably get $1,200 sign n drive

MUST have the deal done by tonight (or at least paperwork) so might be too late for you guys
