I’m looking to lease a 2017 BMW 540i this April or May and was hoping for some thoughts and insights into the lease. The MSRP as configured on the BMW site is $59,245.
My information:
Year: [2017]
Make, Model, and Trim: [BMW 540i RWD + driver assistance package]
Months/Annual Mileage: [36/15K]
Zip Code: [92833]
What are the odds of getting a lease around $500-$600/month after tax? Will the fact that the 2017 5 series is a new design hurt?
With a new design, it’s going to be hard to get the dealership to drop a significant amount of MSRP. Additionally - as far as I’m aware the numbers for Feb aren’t out yet - so being able to know what numbers are going to look like for April/May are probably a little bit far out still.
Pretty unlikely considering redesign. You can get 2016’s for dirt cheap though. If anything, maybe the 2017 530i with few options (which you might as well get a 3 series GT then). Leasing will get better as inventory stacks up at dealership more near the end of the year but for now it definitely will not be an ideal lease.
We’ve had a ton of inquires in the past few days on the new 5 series since dealers starting receiving the first few. Its a sexy new beast.
we’re working on driving down the pricing as fast as possible. They’re like dominos, just waiting for the first dealer to go $1000 off MSRP then they all start falling.
I doubt you’ll see $0 down/drive off $550/mo after tax leases this year with any regularity outside of cars coming off exec demos at the end of the year.
You see that Anthony’s deal includes only 10k/year and also requires a down payment of $3500 right? With any car, you can reach a $100/month or $500/month or any monthly payment with a large enough down.
I was constantly reminded of that when the lease ended. Walked into a couple of dealers that laughed at me until they pulled up the actual lease terms!
Definitely didn’t get anywhere near as good a deal this time around
I just calculated the rv to be 62 percent on 36/10k miles, and the money factor is .00134 this month.
But I doubt you can get a dealer to drop the cap cost about 5,000 dollars on a brand new model with very few, if any, incentives from BMW, for a car that is very high in demand. But hopefully for your sake you can.
